Frustration, anger, and disappointment led to something beautiful, unique, and new.

After graduating from Texas A&M University, getting married, and moving from TX to AZ all in one summer, I had a short period of adjustment. I love it in Arizona (mostly because I get to finally be with my husband!), and being a recent graduate, I was ready and eager to work. I began the job hunt and applied to 15 - 20 different jobs (both full and part time), but could not land even an interview. I was getting very discouraged, frustrated, and feeling all of those related emotions at the same time. I wanted to be able to 'contribute' to our family, and I still want to!

A friend suggested that I begin creating and open an Etsy shop. I ignored the idea at first, but began to reconsider as rejection emails kept rolling in. Then came Gracie, our new 7 week old dachshund who needed attention at all times of day. The idea just seemed to keep getting better at this point, and I began to feel God push me in this direction.

And so with a lot of prayer and a supportive husband, I did it. I created my own online business where I can work from home and use my talents that God gave me to create pieces for others.

Care instructions

Wooden Item Care: All trays and lazy susans are sealed with interior sealer. To clean, wipe down item with soft, damp cloth. I do not recommend scrubbing or using soap.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Gift tags can be added to your order upon request at no additional charge! Please just let me know that this item is a gift in the 'note to seller' section during checkout. I can also write "happy birthday" or "congratulations" on the outside package if being shipped directly to gift recipient.

Custom and personalized orders

I gladly accept custom and personalized requests. Custom items or personalized signs are final sale and cannot be refunded, returned, or exchanged. This includes changing colors of a stock design, adding elements to a stock design such as flowers, etc. Coupon codes are not valid on custom orders unless approved by shop owner. I have the right to cancel your transaction if this policy is violated.

Sizing details

All dimensions are approximate but are found to be reliably accurate. For framed signs, the dimensions in the item listing include the frame. Frames add ~1.5" to both length and width of a sign.

What do I do if my order says 'delivered' but I never received it?

I am not responsible for orders once they have shipped. If your tracking status says 'delivered' but you never received it, contact your local postal carrier. USPS scanners have GPS and should be able to provide you with the last known coordinates of your package. It is a common mistake for postal workers to leave their scanner status on 'delivered' when they are working at a main location. Your local USPS office/worker should be able to assist you. If you believe your package was stolen, you need to file a report with your local police. I apologize, but no replacement orders will be sent in these situations.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes! FMC gift cards do not come in the form of physical cards, but rather a printable PDF file with a customized coupon code to use in the store. What do I do if my item arrives damaged?

Send me photos immediately of your damaged product AND packaging. If you chose USPS Priority shipping at checkout, then you *may* be partially refunded for your order. If you did not choose USPS priority shipping, the shop owner will assess the damage and remedy the situation without a refund. You must contact me within 3 days of delivery if your package is damaged.

I am local to Killeen, TX. Does my item need to be shipped?

No! If you are local and wish to pick up your order from our workshop, please add ‘local pickup’ in the note section during checkout.

The corners of my sign frame are not flush in the back. Can this be fixed?

Unfortunately, no! My mitered frames are very difficult to create. If I am off by 1 degree or cut a few centimeters short, the frames will not sit flush. This is the case in the majority of my wooden frames, however I always make sure the front of the sign looks great and is presentable. It is important to remember that you are buying an item that is completely HANDMADE and not produced by a machine. Natural human error is involved in every part of the process! I want you to be satisfied, and I try my best each day to create great products, but I must accept that I am not perfect and neither are my items. This is the beauty of handmade!
