Creating a handmade life, one stitch at a time.

I started my shop shortly after my son was born. Before the kiddo, I was a full time art teacher. Being home with him was not only creatively inspiring but reaffirmed my commitment to creating a handmade life. Since our house is small, I needed an outlet to sell some of the handmade goods I ran out of space for! (Sort of a joke, but it is a tiny house.)

I call my shop Feathered Nest Studio because the process of being a mom and wife and creating a home is all about feathering one's nest and making it comfy, inviting, and welcoming. The "studio" speaks to the fact that what I do is create art; together, Feathered Nest Studio means lovingly, thoughtfully made creative items from my studio to your home.

In my shop I sell original play things for kids (toys that inspire old-fashioned imaginative fun, no screens involved!), lovingly made stitched goods for your home & wall, and elegant handmade accessories for you.

With every stitch, a new heirloom is begun and a handmade life is created.

Feathered Nest Studio is the creative baby of an upstate New York artist (trained in graphic design, photography, and fine arts) who, after her own little person baby was born, needed an outlet for the new type of creative energy she felt. Feathered Nest Studio emerged. Featuring handmade items for the home and person and DIY projects for the creative soul, Feathered Nest Studios is about comfort, simplicity, and joy.
