About

Two travelers who found each other through craft.

Some may call us reenactors, some may call us carnies, others just call us crazy, but to our friends we are simply Vikings. We travel all over the world showing our crafts, from Scandinavia, to Ireland, to Russia and back home to the USA. Scot stitching leather shoes or bags, or furiously chopping wood for Maggie's pottery firing. Maggie covered in mud or ash, showing off the dirty sweaty wonders of primitive pottery.

We have a passion for all things handmade. Not just handmade, but made by hand, without the use of modern power tools. Whether it is hand carved wooden spoons or hand woven fabrics, we collect anything painstakingly made by crafts people we meet along the way.

We are crafts people as well as traders, dealing in only the finest of the dying arts from around the world. We sell our own works as well as the works of our friends in the European reenactment community, from plant dyed yarns to hand made beads to knives made by up tp 3 different masters, one for the blade, one for the handle and one for the sheath.

By shopping with us you are likely not only supporting our work, but also the work of the fine people who make our supplies, from a master silversmith struggling to continue the viking age style of granulation and filigree, to a tannery in south Germany still making supple delectable vegetable tanned goat leather.

We thank you for your interest, and hope to see you sometime somewhere in our travels!

Our goal is real hand work, meaning, made by hand, without the aid of modern technology. We use no sewing machines or power tools in our own work, and hunt high and low for all natural materials. The only exception is the Jewelry and belt parts, cast in a modern casting facility unless otherwise noted as handmade. In our shop "handmade" means made with hand tools.
We are passionate about seeking materials and supplies of expert craftsmanship, such as hand made glass beads made by historical re-enactors and ancient hand made semi-precious stone and glass beads. Scot uses only the highest quality vegetable tanned leather in his work.

We also carry a range of highly treasured antique textiles. We have handwoven hand spun linen material from 60 to 180 years old, as strong or stronger as the day it was made.
