I love playing with wool and hoard all things textile and tactile

Hi, I'm Cathie and I am a textile artist, I particularly like playing with wool which constantly surprises me with its amazing abilities, how can something so soft turn into something so strong, or delicate, or useful or just plain pretty by simply adding warm soapy water and lots of elbow grease? It's magical and I do love a little bit of magic in my life don't you?

I have always loved working with my hands, my grandpa brought me a sewing machine for my 18th birthday and I have never lost my love of sewing. I discovered felting much later in life and if I'm not sewing or felting I'm probably knitting 😁.

I do not add any invoices to my parcels as I don't like wasting paper, but if you do need an invoice please just let me know and I will send it with the order.

Care instructions

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Felt is a luxury item and pretty resilient to dirt but if you do have a mishap or need to wash your item then please follow these instructions.
To remove dust just spray air with an empty spray bottle.
You can remove the odd mark by gently sponging with warm water.
To fully wash your item:-
Fill a bowl with warm water add a little wool detergent.
Place your item in the bowl and gently push it down.
Leave it to soak for 15/20 minutes.
Hold your item to one side each time you tip out the water and refill the bowl.
Rinse until the water is clear.
Very gently squeeze out the water, pull your item back into shape if needed and leave to dry.
Please don't put your felt in the tumble dryer or it will shrink!

Gift wrapping and packaging

All of my items come gift wrapped in tissue paper.
Smaller items are tied with black ribbon so you can easily have a sneaky peak if it is a gift.
Please note outer packaging may be recycled materials as I like to recycle whenever possible.
