We make unique eco-friendly articles!

Femchan Streetwear = Fem (designer) + Anne (knitting expert) + Matti (super assistant). We are located in Belgium's biggest city 'Antwaarpe' (Antwerp) and we offer premium hand-knitted goods on Etsy; plus upcycled sneakers and choice vintage gear on Depop and our website!

We are 100% independent and our articles -aside from our vintage gear- are exclusive to our shop / brand.

♦ About our dyes:
We utilise self developed fabric dyes to create shades you won't see anywhere else. Each dyed article is therefore truly one of a kind.
Our vibrant dyes contain no strong chemicals that would be harmful to the environment or your skin. We avoid the use of corrosive agents to maintain the toughness of the products.
Dyed articles are safe to wear in the rain: the colours will not run, flake off nor rub off.

♦ Knitwear!
We knit by hand based on Anne's (and sometimes Fem's) own patterns.
The yarn we use is created with sustainable, eco-friendly, methods. We source our yarn at (cruelty-free) EU-based farms, local factories and from vintage batches: you will see some unusual shades and textures. Our acrylic yarns are also 100% vegan-friendly!
Knits are pre-washed and stored with care.

Our vintage articles, whether upcycled or sold as is after care, are hand-picked by us.
Most of our vintage articles are from the early 1970s up to the mid-1990s (plus Y2K on our Depop). All vintage items are inspected, mended where required, cleaned thoroughly and treated with mild protection agents (e.g.: leather conditioner and wax...).

We treat new sneakers right out of the box, we handle these just as carefully as all our other stock. We sell few altered new (brand) sneakers as we do not wish to support harmful mass-production processes.

    Fem is a freelance designer with a passion for streetwear. She's known to dye kitchens bright pink and people indigo blue during her many hours of research: she loves to experiment! While Fem's multilingual, she can't speak 'Antwaarps' at all!

    Anne provides a large portion of the knits in the shop, she is a very experienced knitter with a fearless love for bright colours! Anne is the most sociable shop member, she is also trilingual (NL, FR, EN)!

  • Matti

    Assistant, Photographer, Unicorn Whisperer

    Matti provides practical assistance such as calculating costs, carrying parcels (at lightning speed) and minding the stock when Fem is away! The smartest person in the room; Matti is also the one shop member who speaks German!

Returns and exchange details
• Articles must be returned to us in their original state, clean, unworn

• Customers are responsible for return postage. We can't offer paid returns

• We'll provide you with a current returns address. Ensure the article(s) is/are securely repackaged and take the parcel to the courier of your choice. Retain proof of postage until we can confirm receipt

• Article refunds go to the account you paid with; we reserve the right to withhold amounts for any loss in value

• We are always happy to help! Please contact us prior to leaving any negative feedback: we will gladly assist you!
Payment
• Etsy uses their own payment system, this includes Paypal and credit card payments. Our prices are in euros, Etsy handles conversion

• Etsy has removed its EU bank transfer option; we know this can be quite frustrating for local buyers: contact us, we can make it work

! We process orders once payment has been cleared.
• If your payment doesn't come through in 4 business days, we reserve the right to cancel your order
! For RESERVATIONS: contact us! Keeping an article in your shopping basket does not reserve it

• We package well, use reliable services, log shipments and retain proof of postage: losses and damages are very rare

• If an article does arrive damaged please provide us with photos so we can file an insurance claim and go from there

• your mailbox' surroundings (couriers usually leave a note), family members, neighbours

We can make custom headbands, beanies, scarves etc based on our schedule and yarn availability. Feel free to ask.

Do you ship to my country? How much is it?

We ship worldwide with very few exceptions (restricted regions).
