I am a lover of design, making, problem-solving, plants, botany, learning, and making things better. My life + mind feel transformed by learning to make everyday objects; there is much power in knowing how to use tools and bring to life an idea from your mind.

I started this shop in 2009; back then it was an outlet for my screen-printing experiments. At the time, I was selling clothing in shops around town, online, as well as collaborating with local businesses on branding design.

These days, I am more interested in practical, domestically-oriented designs. I'm working on a few collections of tincture/bottle holders, desk organizers, and plant stands. Please check back regularly for more designs, as I will be adding them on a monthly basis.

I also love taking on custom work! If you are in need of a wood or metal creation, please reach out to me here! I bet we can come up with something beautiful.

The name of my shop- officinalis- comes from the latin epithet denoting plants that are used as medicines. This word is meaningful to me as an herbalist + plant enthusiast, as well as symbolizing my belief that any activity we engage in (making things, for instance) can be medicine.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

If something is not right with your order, please send us a message as soon as you can! We will do our best to make it right for you.
Payment
PayPal and direct pay by credit card are the accepted forms of payment.

It is always best to post the payment from your PayPal account immediately, so as to avoid confusion. If we do not receive the money in our PayPal within 24 hours, we will re-list the item in the shop...unless we hear from you.
Shipping
Items are shipped from within 1-2 business days once payment is received! The exception to this is made-to-order and custom items; please refer to those listings for details regarding time frame. When in doubt, send me a message!

We like to recycle and reuse shipping materials as much as possible.

If you desire insurance, let us know immediately with your order. We will bill you for the additional cost.
