This cotton/linen shawl, with beaded edge, is elegant and exquisitely handmade! It wraps and drapes well and provides just enough warmth to take the chill off! I purchased another item from this seller, which is also beautiful and very classy! I love the lovely and carefully made fiber art that this seller creates and I’ll be back again to purchase! Great transaction with a great artist! Thanks!

About

Explorations in Fiber and Art to Wear

I have always been interested in making things with fiber, making most of my own clothes when I was younger. For a number of years quilting was the main focus for me, but I had always wanted to learn to weave. After the weaving came dyeing, then felting, beading and spinning. I have also acquired two antique sock knitting machines that I have finally mastered. I have always loved to garden and have had a life long love affair with rocks. That is where the jewelry making comes in...

My day job is working as a server at a busy family style restaurant. Working three days a week keeps me in the black so I am able to pursue my true passion, working with my hands with fabulous fibers of all types. A few years ago I started an Etsy store to sell my work because the ideas kept coming and the work was piling up. I also do about 5 craft shows each year and love talking with customers about the processes I use in my work. Read more about my adventures and mis-adventures in fiber on my blog at fiberlingo.blogspot.com. You can like me on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/FiberLingo

As a child I always wanted to make things, learning to sew, knit, tat, & crochet. Later in life I pursued weaving, dyeing, felting, beading, and most recently, spinning. My work continues to evolve as I learn new techniques.

Hello and welcome! I am an all around fiber lover. I enjoy weaving, felting, knitting and crocheting and also dye my own fiber. I recycle wool sweaters into handbags and other items. By combining techniques I can experiment with both color and structure. I also make jewelry and each piece is one of a kind. Come back often and see what's new. I work in a dog friendly, (but smoke free) environment.
