Welcome to Fibernymph Dye Works, a small, family-run endeavor born of the desire to create fun, unique hand-dyed yarns and spinning fibers. We specialize in self-striping yarns created in semi-solid tones and gradient fibers. (If you're looking for super-solid colors, our yarns are probably not for you.) Everything we make is individually handcrafted. Because of this individualized process, each skein of yarn and braid of fiber we make will be unique, and we hope you will enjoy that about them.

OUR YARNS

We are dyeing the following yarn bases:

SUNSHINE - Fingering weight, 100% SW Merino; 490 yards
SQUOOSH - Fingering weight, 75% SW wool, 25% nylon; 430 yards (formerly 400 yards)
BOUNCE - Fingering weight, 80% SW Merino, 20% nylon; 400 yards.
BEDAZZLED - Fingering weight, 75% SW Merino, 20% nylon, 5% stellina; 438 yards.
HEAVENLY - Fingering weight, 80% SW Merino, 10% Nylon, 10% Cashmere; 435 yards.
SHIMMY LOW - Fingering weight, 50% SW Merino, 50% Tencel; 400 yards.
AMBLE - Heavy fingering weight, 100% SW Merino; 400 yards.
SPORTY - Sport weight, 100% wool; 320 yards.
HAPPY CAMPER - Sport weight, 100% SW Merino; 274 yards.
BONA FIDE - DK weight, 100% SW Merino; 231 yards.
ELEMENTAL 2 - Worsted weight, 100% wool; 220 yards.
ELEMENTAL 3.0 - Worsted weight, 100% Merino; 220 yards.
COZY - Worsted weight, 100% SW Merino yarn; 220 yards.

RECOMMENDED CARE OF OUR YARNS

Any of the yarns above that specify "SW" (superwash) may be washed in a washing machine on a gentle cycle with COOL water using a gentle wool wash. All yarns that do not specific "SW" require hand washing to avoid felting.

Regardless of the a yarn being superwash or not, we recommend handwashing in cool water ALL of your garments made from any hand-dyed yarns, as this will prolong the life of your garments by decreasing the occurrence of pilling and fading.

Air-drying flat is recommended regardless of washing method.

OUR FIBERS

We dye a variety of quality spinning fibers as they become available to us. Please read the descriptions of the fibers within each individual listing for specific information on fiber content and care.

OUR PHOTOGRAPHS

Please note that we do our best to accurately photograph our products. However, due to monitor differences, what you see on screen may be slightly different than what you see when you receive your item in person. We cannot offer refunds due to these color differences.

KNOTS

We make every effort to note in our listings if, for some reason, we had to tie a knot in a skein of yarn and we offer knotted skeins at a discount.

Note that because of how commercial base yarns are prepared, you may occasionally find areas where segments of the yarn have been joined, or a single ply has been knotted, before the yarn got to us. These areas might feel thicker or bumpier than the surrounding yarn. This is outside of our control and we cannot offer refunds for these occurrences.

OUR BAGS

Occasionally we have the opportunity to create and offer some fun, functional project bags. All bags are machine washable in cool water and can be dried in the dryer, but we recommend allowing them to air dry to limit unnecessary wear on the fabric.

OUR ACCESSORIES

Currently, our accessories consist of variously sized lavender pouches which you can store among your yarn and fiber to discourage infestation of pests. While lavender is known to decrease the likelihood of moths, other factors come into play therefore we cannot guarantee that our pouches will completely eliminate these problems. It is best to keep your stash in a clean, dry place and to rearrange it regularly.

Payment
We accept payments through PayPal.
Shipping
We ship within three business days of purchase. For our normal Friday updates, that means your yarn will ship out to you the following Wednesday at the latest. We try our best, however, to ship Friday update purchases by Monday.

All packages will be shipped by US First Class, International First Class or US Priority mail. If you have a shipping preference, please contact us and we will adjust the shipping fees accordingly. Delivery confirmation is included on all shipments. Insurance will be added to packages at our discretion. However, if you would like to request insurance for your package, please contact us and we will add the necessary fees to your total.

International orders - we are required to complete a customs form that will list each item purchased along with its actual price. These items will be listed as "merchandise" on the form.
Refunds and Exchanges
Yarns & Fibers - Due to color variances in monitors, we regret we are unable to issue refunds on yarn or fiber due to color issues. If, however, you find a flaw in the yarn or fiber itself, please contact us within three days of receipt and we will be happy to either exchange it or issue a refund for store credit only. All returned yarns must arrive to us in usable condition, original band intact, free of odor, dirt, etc. Return shipping costs are your responsibility.

Bags - Again, due to monitor differences, we are unable to accept returns on bags due to color issues. However, we will happily repair or replace your bag if it should experience integral issues during normal use for a period of one year from date of purchase. Please note that this will not include damage incurred from pointy or sharp objects (such as knitting needles and scissors) being stored unprotected in your bag. Return shipping costs are your responsibility. Also, we must occasionally make substitutions in drawstrings or cord stops due to availability of materials, so these parts of the bags may not be the same color as the one shown in the picture. We always make note of this in the item description if a substitution has been made.

Lavender pouches are not returnable.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you would like your purchase gift wrapped and shipped to another recipient, we are happy to help with that. Please contact us to make arrangements.

Have you seen something in the shop that is no longer available? Are you looking for a specific colorway? We are happy to try and accommodate custom orders. Please contact us to discuss this. Self-striping colorways and gradient-dyed fibers are easiest for us to recreate. Variegated/tonal colorways are trickier and will most likely NOT look identical to the original item. However, we always provide a photo of your custom dyed item, and if you are not 100% pleased with it, you are under no obligation to purchase it. We do not charge an extra fee for custom work for our regular colorways (or for special request color combinations that make use of our standard dye colors) unless you need it faster than our current schedule can accommodate. Custom orders are currently shipping within two to three weeks.

Are you looking for a custom colorway to match your school colors, your wedding, your dog, etc.? We are happy to try and create one for you, however there is a $20 non-refundable deposit, which will be applied to your total due if you accept and purchase your custom colorway item.

Our products are all produced in our smoke-free home, which is shared by one Miniature Schnauzer. She does not shed and is never in direct contact with any of the yarn, fiber or bags that we sell.
