Living the Creative Life

We are a family of makers.

I opened my first etsy shop almost immediately after it went online, and sold my handmade jewelry and handbag designs for several years before I began dyeing yarn and fiber. I opened Fiberphile Yarns in 2008 and my yarns quickly became popular enough to support a full-time business. For five years I dyed yarn for sale both to retail customers and large yarn shops including The Loopy Ewe and Fibre Space. Unfortunately, I developed shoulder injuries from such high-volume work and had to stop producing yarn full-time in 2013. However, my love of creating is very much intact.

Over the past 15 years, I have learned dozens of crafts and creative skills. My favorites among them are photography, jewelry making, sewing and handbag design, knitting, crochet, soap making, fabric dyeing, yarn dyeing, spinning, weaving, quilting, metal-smithing, and, most recently, flame-working and glass bead making.

My husband, Amadon, is a builder by trade, but his free time finds him either turning wood blanks into bowls, building a custom piece of furniture for our home, or, most recently, restoring a vintage car with our son. He is also a skilled potter, and we recently added a pottery wheel and kiln to our family studio.

In our family life, we enjoy cooking together and making our meals from scratch- making our own fresh pasta, growing our own vegetables, and raising a variety of chickens who lay a rainbow of different colored eggs. We see everything as an opportunity to learn something new and bring a unique quality to the everyday objects and activities in our home.

We also love animals deeply, both domesticated and wild. Along with our chickens, we share our 1/3 acre homestead in a classic New England village with three kitties, a Black Lab/English Pointer puppy named Ranger, and two little green-cheeked conures.

The objects you will find for sale here in our shop will be varied, and will reflect our current interest and passions within the creative realm. Every object we make is born of a revelry of the creative process and a deep appreciation for beautiful, useful objects.

Thank you for supporting us in our pursuit of the creative life!

Most Sincerely,
The Hadley Family

Additional policies and FAQs
Photo Accuracy:

To ensure the greatest possible color accuracy, I use professional studio lighting and white-balanced digital photography. However, very subtle changes in light and surroundings can affect the appearance of metals and gemstones. Additionally, because I am unable to account for different settings on individual monitors, what you see may not always be exactly what you get. I try to provide multiple photos to provide adequate representation of each item.

Allergen information:

All of my items come from a kid and pet-friendly, non-smoking home studio. The animals are not allowed to play with my work, but please be aware if you or someone in your family has particularly severe allergies.
