I have been climbing Fibre Mountains forever

The climbing began with my grandmother teaching me to knit when I was in grade two. Then I started embroidery and sewing. By the time I was 15, I could sew clothes that I would actually wear.

Then in the 80s I learned to weave and spin. A few years ago I became interested in sewing items made from thrift store finds. And recently, I discovered kimonos and their wonderful silk and I was hooked.

Throughout my fibre journey, I have always loved a lot of decoration, bright colours and pattern on top of pattern which lead to my interest in ethnic and tribal designs.

That brings us up to today and this Etsy store which I hope reflects all my interests in quirky things.

===I ship by Canada post. For my less expensive items I use no tracking and no insurance and ship to Canada, USA, England and Australia. For my more expensive or larger items, I ship with tracking and insurance to Canada and USA. I am willing to ship elsewhere, but you need to contact me first to get the correct shipping rate and provide the tarif # and your phone #.

My aim is to send a high quality item that you will love and enjoy. For most problems, I give a complete refund. If shipping is less than $15.00 Can, I refund shipping in both directions. Otherwise, I only refund in one direction.

All you have to do is:
- Contact me within 14 days of delivery
- I will send you additional information
- Return the item UNDAMAGED within 21 days of delivery
- Upon receipt, I will refund within 1-3 days

If damaged in shipping, please take photos before opening.
If lost in shipping, I normally refund after 2 months.

I plan to ship within 1 business day after receiving your payment. In the rare case that is not possible, I will contact you about the delay.

This processing time does NOT include the shipping time.


1. Hand wash and rinse in lukewarm water using a gentle soap like Woolite. Add about 2 tablespoons of white vinegar to the last rinse. Do not soak in order to avoid colour bleeding. Wring out loosely to reduce creases.
2. Place very neatly on a towel. Roll up the towel. Let sit 1 minute.
3. Hang to dry in the shade.
4. Iron on your lowest steam setting.

METALLIC THREADS: Use a pressing cloth for items with metallic threads.
SHIBORI: Shibori items need to be handled very carefully in order to keep their texture. In the wash and rinse keep the agitation to a minimum and wring the water out super gently. When ironing, do not press the iron down. Rather let the iron hover just above the fabric. You want to steam not press.


I try to always use top quality material. If a stain or flaw sneaks past me into a finished product, I either don't list it, or if the damage is very minor, I note that at the end of the description. If you are disappointed with the item, please feel free to return it.

I do several different things to remove the smell. If they don't work, I don't use that material. I have noticed that the odour comes back when it is washed. But once it is dry, the smell disappears again. Also silk naturally has its own smell that comes out when wet.

*** RETURNS & REFUNDS - Part two ***

In the very rare occasions where the post office returns your item to me, I refund the cost of your item minus the amount the post office charges me for the return. Plus I do not refund any shipping cost.

This may happen because:
- You gave me the wrong address
- You did not pay the duty, tax, VAT, or other fees added by your
government or post office
- You refused the parcel for any reason.
