Friemel Fine Art - Faith based Art prints for Christian homes by Randy Friemel

My love for scripture came to life when I combined it with the one thing I’ve done since childhood- art.
I’ve been drawing since I was 4 or so, and it seemed to be one of my favorite past times all through the years growing up.
There were many things from cars to cartoons - and Star Wars to Conan.. I especially liked to make realistic Conan pictures. 😄
I majored in Art in college and loved drawing still. But eventually I ended up married and raising a family, which meant full time work and the Art got set aside.
After a turn of events, I found myself deep in scripture at break times at work, and this is where my new art began..
I experienced a few years single parenting - helping with religious education at my church- working with the youth program- and volunteering for music- which led to singing and leading worship.
During that time I began making art again- scripture based art- I couldn’t get enough of the two things I really loved - combined.!
What started with drawings of Jesus for retreats and ideas and visions of how I see Jesus- led to painting - and portraits and eventually leaving my job to become a full-time Christian Artist- something I prayed about for years- and it began to be a reality for me.
A lot of wife approval and support - a couple of parents who always encouraged me - along with a friendly and talented oil painting mentor - and topped off with my never ending drive to learn and improve- led to the art that you see here in the shop.!
Several large church works in Texas, and several in Oklahoma came along the way. And I can say that I feel like I’m doing what I was meant to do. I have had several signs that that’s the case. 😉
I love the format for this site - and have been lucky enough to get found by so many nice people. Some of the best are very far away.!
Thank you for reading.! I hope you still have energy to shop ! 😄
-Randy

Frequently asked questions

Sizing details

Many people ask about my print sizes-
If it is an 11x14 print - it will be either an 11x14 image or a 10.5 x13.5 image which leaves room for the printed title and signature/ number of the print- lots of people requested this for years- so I have used that format - it is designed to be matted for a larger size like 14x18 or 16x20 or so- and let’s the mat opening be exactly 11 by 14 inches, and it leaves some of the white border all the way around. The 11x14 image I mentioned first, is only a Few pictures but they can matted as well. I do not recommend trimming them to a frame size, but it can be done, and still works fine. Some people do this to use existing frames.
I also have a few 9x18 prints- they should mat to10x20 or 12x24
