About

Making a heart pendant

Using a propane / oxygen fueled torch, I heat clear and colored borosilicate (Pyrex) glass rods and tubing to temperatures reaching 2400 degrees fahrenheit. Colors and patterns are added and the glass is then sculpted with various graphite & metal tools. When finished, each piece is then kiln annealed to relieve the stress caused from working the glass.
