Hallo Freunde! Ich bin Katy Lockhart, Vollzeit-Töpferin und Vollzeit-Mutter. Ich kreiere schöne handgefertigte und handglasierte Keramik aus meinem Studio in Marietta, Georgia. Ja, ich habe eine Töpferscheibe und einen Ofen aufgestellt!
Firefly Studios wurde 2001 geboren, nachdem sie ein paar Kurse besucht und gespart hatten, um eine gebrauchte Töpferscheibe zu kaufen. Meine Arbeit ist ein Höhepunkt der Faszination für die Natur, insbesondere für Blumen, das Weibliche, die Geographie und die Laune. Meine Erfahrung als Grafikdesigner beeinflusst die Muster, die ich kreiere, und den Stil, den ich auf meine Glasuren auftrage. Obwohl ich seit fast 20 Jahren in Georgia lebe, werden Sie feststellen, dass viele meiner tropischen Farben meine Wurzeln in Südflorida widerspiegeln.

Hello friends! I’m Katy Lockhart, full time potter and full time mom. I create lovely handmade and hand glazed ceramics from my studio in Marietta, Georgia. Yes, I have a Potter’s wheel and a kiln set up!
Firefly Studios was born in 2001, after taking a few classes and saving up to buy a used pottery wheel. My work is a culmination of fascination with nature, especially florals, the feminine, geography and whimsy. My experience as a graphic designer influences the patterns I create and the style that I apply my glazes. Although I’ve lived in Georgia almost 20 years, you’ll find that many of my tropical color choices reflect my south Florida roots.
