About

You could say I have a "MacGyver" style of jewelry making, I work with what I got and I love taking inspirations from many different places!

I have always had a passion for the arts, and the people who make it all happen. I admire all kinds of creativity, be it visual, audible or barely noticeable, I can appreciate how someone took their vision and shared it with the world. I guess that's how my jewelry-making went from just a hobby to having a shop on Etsy!

My first jewelry creation was colored noodles on a string of yarn when I was a child, and I was so proud! It wasn't until I was much older that one of my friends taught me how to make a square knot with three pieces of hemp cord that sparked my interest in making jewelry for others.

Since my budget at the time was limited, I had to make do with what I had on hand... specifically an old wooden incense box, a pushpin, and the belt loop on my jeans... and to this day I use the same technique for weaving because that is what I'm most comfortable with! And it's the most versatile... I can carry everything with me and sit down just about anywhere and make my jewelry.

I've experimented and restarted and threw many mistakes in the trash before I refined my technique and I was satisfied with what I could create. That was almost five years ago, and I still experiment and try to think of something new and unique that I haven't done before. Like now I've just discovered wirework, and It is all so exhilarating!

I currently have a strong interest in rocks and gemstones, and I've become quite a "rockhound" lately! Every rock that I find I wash and chisel and polish and make sure every detail makes it worthy to be a part of my creations.

I call my shop Fire Rabbit Creations because I was born in the year of the Fire Rabbit, according to the Chinese Zodiac. Being able to display and sell my jewelry on Etsy has been so exciting for me! Even though I am new to online business and there are many difficulties, it is enough to be able to show my creations to the world and see what other artists like me have created. I am honored and truly amazed to have my own shop here :)

Thank you for visiting my shop!

I make my jewelry from anything and everything I can find... from gemstone beads to pieces of broken jewelry to the quartz crystal I found while walking my dogs... I hammer and chip and shape every little detail to make each and every project unique and special. Every piece of jewelry you see is a little piece of me.

I sit down almost every day and make something new, so keep checking back!

If you see something that you like but prefer some moderations (size, color, material, etc.) just message me and I will do my best to fulfill your request.

If you have any questions at all feel free to message me or email me (onadrojewel@gmail.com), I check them both very often :)

Fashion is my passion, and I want to share it with the world.
