Additional policies and FAQs
Though many of our jewelry items are unique and may be difficult to replicate, requests for custom designs are always welcome. Many of our designs can be customized for you in different metals, stones, color schemes, or sizes. Designs in 14kt gold are based on current market rates. Please contact us with any questions or comments.

Here are a few methods which can be used to clean most jewelry. With proper storage and gentle care, your jewelry will shine.

WARNING: There are some items which can only be cleaned when necessary by wiping with a soft, lint-free cloth. These include embroidered jewelry, knotted pearls, corals and items with heat-treated or patina’d metals.

GENERAL CARE - DAWN: Use 2-3 drops of Dawn dishwashing detergent in tap water to remove skin oils, cosmetics and surface dirt from your jewelry. Submerge, swish and gently wash with a soft toothbrush where needed. Rinse, wipe with a lint-free cloth, then thoroughly dry with a hair dryer (lowest setting) or place under a fan. Do not use hot water which will damage pearls and fade dyed components. Do not use on embroidered jewelry, knotted pearls, corals and items with heat-treated or patina’d metals.

GOLD / GOLD-FILLED: Wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth. Use the Dawn method periodically.

SILVER / GOLD / GOLD-FILLED / MIXED METALS / MOST COMPONENTS - BAKING SODA: Make a paste of baking soda and tap water. Use a soft toothbrush with the paste to gently clean jewelry. Rinse, wipe with a lint-free cloth, then thoroughly dry with hair dryer (lowest setting) or place under a fan. Use the Dawn method periodically. Do not soak. Do not use hot water. This method also works well on chain mail with lots of nooks and crannies. Do not use on embroidered jewelry, knotted pearls, corals, and items with heat-treated or patina’d metals.

COPPER - WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE: Believe it or not… Pour Worcestershire Sauce in a bowl, enough to cover your jewelry. Drop each piece of jewelry into the bowl, then pull out immediately. Rinse well, wipe with a lint-free cloth, then thoroughly dry with a hair dryer or place under a fan. Use cheapest brand of Worcestershire Sauce which will have higher percentage of vinegar and salt.
Wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth after each wearing. Use the Dawn method periodically. Use the baking soda method as needed. Do not use on heat-treated or patina’d copper.

EMBROIDERED AND WOVEN JEWELRY: Wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth periodically. To clean metal clasps, use the baking soda method on the metal components only.

RETARD TARNISH: To retard tarnish, store your jewelry in Ziploc bags or place anti-tarnish strips in your jewelry box.

When a piece is sold at one of the art festivals we attend, we will remove it from ETSY. Please feel free to email us anytime and let us know if you have questions about a listed or previously listed item.

Every attempt is made to post photos which accurately represent the colors and details of each piece of jewelry. When posted they are true to color on my monitor. Your monitor and its settings may differ.
