I just moved and this shell bowl looks so lovely on my countertop. I put salt in it and I find that I use it all the time. It is functional on top of being so beautiful. I'm very happy I made this purchase.

I absolutely adore this shell plate. I have it out in my kitchen. It can sit on the counter top alone or hold a couple of items, either way it is beautiful. I hope to purchase more fish eye bowls. Lovely, thank you.

About

Inspired by the Uniqueness and Imperfections of Nature

What started out as a modest effort to learn pottery has evolved slowly into a committed study of different techniques and a growing desire to constantly further my craft. I love the feel of clay and how you can manipulate it into any shape you want. I love the unpredictability of clay, how it can always surprise you.

Before moving to Brooklyn several years ago, I grew up in rural New Hampshire. The mountains were in my back yard and the ocean was just a short drive away. The beauty and imperfections of leaves, shells, and flowers are what inspire my pottery. My work is organic and imperfect, sometimes even a little abstract, but the pieces are also completely functional pieces of pottery. Each vessel is either hand-built, thrown on an electric wheel, or a combination of both.

I share a co-operative studio space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with several other potters and sculptors. It is such an incredibly creative environment -- we support each other, offer advice, and fuel inspiration.

All pieces are handmade with food, dishwasher, and microwave safe clay and glazes, unless otherwise noted. Because of the nature of handmade, there will be slight variations in the shape, size, color, and finish of the items from what you see in the photographs. These variations are very small and may not be noticeable - if they are though, please know that they are not flaws, but part of what makes each piece unique.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
