It was packaged with care, all the information you need for preserving its beauty was included, and it included extra wrapping tissue for gifting. How thoughtful. 5 out of 5 starsAbsolutely fantastic throw! A true artisan piece. Purchased for a 1st century costume in the filming of “The Chosen” in Midlothian, TX on Feb 10, 2021. Cast, crew and extras otherwise now known as the ‘Frozen Chosen’. Outdoors all day in thirty degree temps and fifteen mph winds for the filming of the Sermon on the Mount scene during the Texas polar vortex arctic blast of 2021. Kept me warm!

Hand weaving has been my life's work for more than forty years. I create beautifully executed handwoven textiles. Most of my work is done to custom order for interior designers and architects - large constructed area rugs and other textiles, all in natural fibers.
My weaving studio is a historic church, built in 1884 in the Hudson Valley of New York. The parishioners, of Irish and German descent, built it from native stone, timber, and brick manufactured at the nearby Kingston brick kilns of the time. The building is solidly built and impressive: spacious high ceilings, views of greenery, the creek below, and sited above a working boatyard where tug boats and barges travel up from the New York City port for renovations and repairs.
The small rugs / runners offered are either small scale versions of some of my very large commissioned work or are designs in progress, many times done at the end of a custom warp. Many of the colors are hand dyed in my dye room using high-quality dyestuffs in a vat dyeing process done at a near boil.
The smaller textiles offered here are my other passion - particularly scarves which I render in the highest quality fibers. My chenille scarves set a very high standard for this yarn with their deep velour hand. There are also silk and cashmere offerings....with more variety to be added over time. My throws exhibit a refinement of skill and coloring rendered in luxurious yarns - many hand dyed in the studio.

Jonah arrived in the studio about thirteen years ago, learned the craft from the bottom-up and is now a very proficient expert weaver. His emphasis is in rug weaving and hand dyeing of yarns.
