Beautiful tablecloth and very quick delivery, thank you.
Surrounded by fabric...
Some of my earliest memories are of my grandmothers sewing, embroidering, crocheting and knitting. They were always busy with their hands.
This gave me an appreciation of textiles, fabrics and needlework, and the skill and time that went into the crafting of these items. No small wonder then that I have grown to love and collect vintage tablecloths. For me they never fail to excite , the sheer amount of skill, time and love that went into their creation is staggering, and that kind of quality is sadly not often seen now.
I have always been fascinated by quilts and fabrics, I made my first quilt over 20 years ago and then sporadically more as gifts and presents for my friends, god children and family.
I started to amass a wealth of fabric, some old some new. I adore the process of selecting fabrics, cutting up and then putting back together as a new whole. Now I have too many quilts, not enough beds.
I don't have a particular style but I love to use older fabrics as they have a history and previous associations, and I think that this sets my work apart.
I would like to think that in some small way I am continuing my grandmothers traditions and that they would be proud of me.

Additional policies and FAQs
I will try faithfully to describe each and every item I sell, however please be aware that the vintage tablecloths and old quilts may have small blemishes that may not launder out, if this is an issue, then perhaps my vintage items may not be the thing for you.
All of my handmade quilts should withstand the odd wash at 30 and be hard wearing enough to withstand normal use, if dry cleaning is needed it will say so in the product description.
All my tablecloths will have been washed on a 30 degree wash in biological powder , line dried ( weather permitting) and pressed. I do not use starch or press creases into my tablecloths. If the tablecloth has not been washed I will say so in the items description.
