About

Late bloomer

After spending most of my adult life in non-artistic endeavors, I moved to DFW and by chance met a professional potter. I studied privately for a couple of years, then began accumulating the equipment to make pottery at home. Seven years later, here I am, with everything I need at home and pottery in every room!

I really love the idea that I can take a lump of mud and make something pretty and functional, and I am inspired by the many generous potters I have met both in Texas and in the rest of the country.

The techniques in clay are almost limitless, and that has allowed me to make a large variety of items, from wheel-thrown stoneware bowls to funky little hand-built curiosities to hand-painted porcelain.

I sell my items through local sales and galleries, and I love the idea of broadening my customer base through Etsy. I hope you find something that tickles your fancy!

Welcome to Running Bunny Pottery! My philosophy: I want to create beautiful, useful objects that are a little different. I don't want to sell anything that I would not like to buy or receive myself.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order
  • Check
Payment
I accept Paypal, U.S. Money Orders, and personal checks. Payment should be made within five business days. If I have not received payment or heard from you within that time, I will relist the item, so if you're planning to mail a check or money order, e-mail me to let me know. I will ship when your check clears.

If, for some reason, you cannot make payment within five days, or something prevented you from paying and your item was relisted, just e-mail me and we'll try to work something out.
Shipping
Here's the thing about pottery: It can be heavy, and it can be expensive. I use U.S. Priority Mail because it is as dependable as other commercial shipping companies and quite a bit cheaper. Packaging adds about 10 oz to any one item, so even a light-weight item ends up weighing about a pound.

The nice thing is that you can add quite a few small items without adding appreciably to the weight or cost, so feel free to buy a lot of stuff!

Items are sent as soon as I am notified of payment, same day or next day, Monday through Friday. Personal checks have to clear before shipping. Delivery confirmation is included in the price and I will e-mail you a tracking number. Insurance is not included in the price, so let me know if you want it and I will add it to your invoice.

International orders are shipped First Class International through the U.S. Post Office and also includes delivery confirmation. If you need insurance, please let me know and I will add it to your invoice. International buyers are responsible for any customs fees.

Most items will be shipped in boxes, in multiple wrappings and possibly multiple boxes for protection, and this explains why some of the shipping might seem a little pricey.

I generally tend to undercharge for postage, but if I overcharge you more than one dollar, I will refund the amount over the actual cost of postage.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you receive an item that has been damaged in shipping, or you are less than satisfied with your purchase, please contact me. I will make every effort to resolve any problem you might have with one of my items.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am open to trades, consignment, and custom orders - contact me and we'll see if I can do something for you. I have a small operation but I will consider wholesale on a small scale. Be aware, however, that pottery can tend toward the unexpected. It's not unusual to open the kiln and discover a "happy accident" - and sometimes not so happy.
