About Florcita
Im a curious Maker. I love color. Round natural shapes. I like learning.
Working with my hands sets me free. It returns me to the sunny lands of Patagonia where I was born and raised. I suppose that is why I am so drawn to bright colors too.
I like learning and experimenting. Although I have learnt many techniques with a proper instructor, I also like to learn by doing... by daring.
I've been on etsy for a while just shopping and since a few months ago I use it also as a platform to sell my ceramic wares.
I strive to make objects with a daily use. Objects that can be used and put in a dishwasher and use again. Maybe because I'm a mom of two little ones, I try to find shapes that are easy to handle and make cups and plates that can resist daily use.
I enjoy immensely the process of making, the magic moment in which I open the kiln to see if what I wanted is what I get. A bit tricky with the chemistry of ceramics, glaze and high temperature.

Since I was a small little girl, I've always liked doing things with my hands: painting, knitting, crocheting, pottery, felting, spinning, vitreaux, ... you name it! my curiosity has no limites!
I am now the mother of two little children. I spend my days surrounded by clay and/or paper and pen, children, walks in the woods, my veggie and flower garden, planning exotic trips with Mr Husband or with books!
