Item just as described and as seen in the picture. The front cover is gorgeous and the pages are of great quality. The only issue was that it took 40 days to reach me. The top corner of the spine was slightly damaged, which I'm guessing happened during the transit.

About

Moving the brush, moving the body!

Q. How did you get started?

In 2014 I was standing in line at a store and I saw a very cheap watercolor set. It was an impulse buy. My husband and I were getting ready to go on sabbatical and I wanted an activity to keep me away from the computer.

I fell in love with watercolors. I toggled between illustration and painting. I had so much to learn! Finally in 2016 I discovered that watercolors are much more versatile for creating unexpected colors and textures. Most people are afraid of incorrectly mixing their colors because of mud or dullness, but watercolor can create ANY hue and I’m not afraid of mixing, green and red (gasp)

I’m also in love with body movement, specifically movement that mixes art with strength like Aerial Yoga, Essentrics, Houla Hoop and dance.

Unique watercolors for unique movement. No person’s movement is alike. Same with my watercolors no painting is alike.

I want to be able to work big at one point and create real-sized paintings for my garments.

Q. What's it like to live in Montreal?

Peaceful and fun! It’s wonderful to have so many sources of inspiration, starting with language. It’s a joyful city, during the summer you can bike everywhere, spend your days outside, attend the free summer festivals. And then… there is coffee. Some of the best coffee shops in the world are here!

Q. Tell us about your studio?
For the longest time I dreamed about a “room of my own”. Finally I have it! It’s a small room in our house. I have a long table, on one side is the computer, scanner and printer, on the other side the table is white and bare. It’s where I paint. It's usually pretty messy and too full of stuff.

Q. Do you have a ritual?

Yes! I used to leave my painting table all messy for the next day, but since 2017 I clean everything up after a painting session.
The next day, I start by filling the jar with water, getting the palettes, gathering all the materials. Then I do a warm-up exercise. This ritual nudges my creativity and my focus. Since I’ve been doing this, I almost always have a finished work by the end of my session.

Sizing details

Please make sure you take your measurements. Garments are very stretchy so they never lose their shape, this means they feel like a second skin. If you are in between sizes, I suggest you choose the larger size for maximum comfort. See the last image for sizing details. If you are unsure, please contact me.

Are colors exactly like the photo?

Color variation happens because monitors vary a lot. I do everything I can to preserve the color as much as possible but color variation does happen.

On average producing
1 meter of polyester fabric will consume 13 liters of water and over 29000 kilojoules of energy.

On the other hand, producing 1 meter of ECO POLYESTER fabric will only consume 3.9 liters of water and 8700 Kilojoules of energy.

If you need more information, please convo me!

Are your products ethical?

Ethical Working Conditions

The company helping me with the production of my garments are located in Montreal, Canada. They pay above minimum wage, no unpaid internships, all breaks are paid, National Holidays are respected and you can drop in any time. Unlike overseas factories trying to hide worker conditions. I've personally visited them several times and their door is always open.

How do you care for your garments?

SCARVES:
Hand wash in cold water. Hang to dry and iron on synthetic setting.
If your scarf feels stiff, mist it with a spray bottle and tumble dry on low for 10 minutes.

LEGGINGS:
Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry on medium heat.
