Lovely bag from a lovely seller - thank you!!

It began with desperation...

I first decided I wanted to start an Etsy shop selling vintage clothing when I was leaving high school. Everyone had big plans to go to college and study to be lawyers or doctors or dancers, but I had decided to engage in voluntary work until I figured out 'who I wanted to be'.

However, desperation sank in as I realized how tough it was to find a paying job and how broke I was starting to become. So, I gathered what little savings I had and invested in some two carefully curated rails of vintage clothing, ranging from pastel colored frocks from the 50's to long, boho gowns of the 70's.

I don't solely make a living from this shop because I now work as a freelance web designer specializing in blog design. However, its a constant struggle earning a steady wage when you run a small creative business, so I hope this shop will earn me enough to pay off a couple of bills a month. Fingers crossed!

To ensure an item is well suited to you, please double check the measurements and size listed with your own. We do not offer returns for items that do not fit, so always make sure! We want you to be very happy with your Flower Child Vintage purchase!

Please understand that some vintage items can come with imperfections. I do my best to list flaws in the item descriptions, and would be happy to take extra photos and measurements for you if you are considering purchasing. If a small detail goes unnoticed, please remember that I am only human and the clothing that I’m selling is often decades old.

Once you have received and worn the item, any repairs or upkeep is your own responsibility. The fabric and threads of the items are very old and I have no way of knowing how long something will last. Remember to keep the age of the item in mind when washing and wearing it.
Additional policies and FAQs
Most garments have not been washed since acquisition. If they have been cleaned it will be stated in the listing. It is your responsibility to take care of cleaning, and some items might need airing out to get rid of any thrift store aromas. Hanging items outside for a while often helps. Be careful when laundering vintage clothing! Please look online for guides that will tell you how to clean specific vintage fabrics.

All items come from a smoke and pet free home!

All items are measured flat. To ensure a good fit it is recommended that you compare sizing of the items to items you already own. If you need any more measurements, feel free to ask me! I will get back to you within the day.

Colour may appear slightly different to onscreen, depending on your monitor’s settings.

If you have any questions, please contact me! It’s the best and easiest way for everyone to be satisfied with the transaction. Please remember that being rude or unreasonable is not the way to get what you want. I’m happy to cooperate with reasonable customers and will do my best to sort the problem for you!
