Hi and welcome!
My name is Tess and I am the head creator at Funny Little Things. I create natural crayons from scratch to inspire imagination, fun and learning in kids at any age.
A few years ago, I was alarmed to discover that most commercial crayons are made from paraffin, a by-product of petroleum and that recent studies have shown that some commercial crayons have tested positive for nasties like asbestos. Not only was it scary to think of young children potentially ingesting these, but I also was concerned about the environmental impact. So I set about working on developing a formula for crayons using all natural, sustainably sourced waxes and non-toxic pigments. I have continued to refine my formula through trial and error and product testing and I am so pleased with my product – a safe, natural crayon that produces vibrant hues, is hardy in warm little hands and has minimal environmental impact.

Childhood should be all about play and having fun. Funny Little Things’ crayons come in a range of fun shapes and sizes to inspire imagination and play. I love seeing the joy on children’s faces when they discover the butterfly or dinosaur they hold in their hand is actually a crayon! Through play also comes learning and my crayons are a great secret weapon to help kids learn shapes, colours, creative thinking and even the letters and sounds of their name.
A little more about me. I’m a shortie, only about 5 foot 2” (I’ve always wished for a few extra inches!) My husband on the other hand is 6 foot 4” and has always endearingly called me ‘funny little thing’. I thought this would be a good name for my crayons once I started making them as they are bright and fun little things designed to add joy!
I love putting together something a little extra special so custom orders for gifts or party favour packs are more than welcome! If you don’t see a crayon shape you’re interested in, please ask as I can create crayons to suit just about any theme.

If you are after a particular theme and can't see it here, please get in contact. We love to source moulds and make bespoke orders for our lovely customers.
For personalised name crayons, please note that the various listings are for different lengths of names. If you can't see the number of letters you're after, feel free to get in contact.
Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
Conditions of returns: buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

1. Etsy Payments.
2. PayPal, which accepts major credit cards - It is not necessary to have a PayPal account to use it. Simply click on the PayPal link at checkout and follow the instructions.
3. Bank Deposit from an Australian Bank. Please contact me for direct deposit details.
Shipping
Custom orders (including name crayons) may take a little longer to create. However, I will confirm with you the expected time it will take to create your crayons once your order has been placed (if not discussed prior to purchase). Therefore please ensure your email address is correct.
Orders are shipped via Australia Post or courier. Express Post orders are shipped using Australia Post’s Express Post next day delivery service. Once your order has shipped, I will be in contact with postage and / or tracking details.
Please note that I always process and complete orders as fast as possible. However, in order not to miss out during any busy seasonal period please ensure you order early with plenty of time for your order to be completed and shipped. If you are after something for a specific date please contact me to make sure this can be achieved.
All possible care will be taken in the packaging and shipping of your purchase. However, I cannot be responsible for any items lost, damaged or delayed during shipping. That being said, please get in contact if there are any problems with your order once delivered and we can try to sort something out.
After a gift? Orders can be directly sent to the recipient. Simply enter their address upon checkout and include a note to me in the message to seller section.
