5 out of 5 starsThe neckless is super cute. I bought a cat neckless at Pike Street Market. It is so adorable. I found the Etsy store and bought another dog neckless for my partner.

5 out of 5 starsThe compartment dish was even more adorable in person! I gave it to my mom as a Mother's Day gift and she loved it, she has it on display on her counter. Definitely recommend.

5 out of 5 starsThis was such a perfect gift for a friend who loves Stellar Jays and adores sweet little pots. Honestly, after unpacking it, I wanted to get one for myself! I will definitely be returning for more items soon. We also asked if this could be rushed (last-minute gifting) and we got it the very next day! Communication was above excellent and overall we are so happy. Thank you!

5 out of 5 starsI first saw Mutsuko's work when I was visiting Seattle and bought something. I was very happy to find her on Etsy, so I could gift items to friends. Her necklaces are super cute! She was quick to respond when I put the wrong shipping info. Thank you!

I grew up in this small village near Mr. Fuji in Japan. This is my original scenery, always in my heart.

My another passion, Marimba!
I was born in a small village close to Mt.Fuji in Yamanashi prefecture, Japan. At my young days, I helped and played at my parents' farm. It was an opportunity to have exposure to great nature, which cultivated my way of seeing in real and imaginary world.
I moved to the States in my early 30's. I've worked as a full timel artist in Seattle last 20 years.
I acquired my ceramic training through apprenticeship. My cartooning and drawing are self-taught. Regardless what the material and method I use, my goal is to create pieces to tell stories which make people happy.
My work naturally reflects my background: Japanese art, comic strip and calligraphy. At the same time, I find myself not to belong to any particular style nor idea. I am happiest being a unique facet to output positive messages to anybody in this diverse world.
I present my work primarily at Pike Place Market since 2003. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and get direct feedback. Besides Pike Place, several local galleries, Kobo, Venue Ballard and Venture at Market have been showing my work.
When I am not in my studio, I enjoy playing marimba or walking in nature.
