About folkdreamsjewelry

Sales 120
On Etsy since 2012

Nature inspired jewelry designs for the explorer, dreamer and believer.

Durable, everyday copper and silver jewelry, handmade by Maddie Spoto in her Santa Ana, Ca studio. While beautiful in its simplicity, Maddie's jewelry evokes adventure and inspiration to follow dreams and live freely. With texture, oxidization and organic colors Maddie translates nature into wearable pieces of art for taking the road less traveled.

In 2012, Maddie created Folk Dreams to share her passion for metalsmithing and jewelry making with other women looking for earth conscious, wearable art, that was stylish, yet timeless.

Maddie grew up in a very creative home and have always had a great respect and love for art. While studying at Cal State Long Beach for her BA in Studio Art, Maddie took a metals class and found her passion on day one.

Maddie's other passion is for the earth and the preservation of our home. With a love for the ocean and exploring, Maddie set out to give back to Mother Nature by donating 5% of each purchase to earth and animal friendly non profit organizations.

Although Folk Dreams is Maddie's side hustle, she hopes one day it can become a bigger part of her and inspires others to follow their dreams and live a life they love.

"And till my ghastly tale is told, this heart within me burns."
- Samuel Taylor Coleridge - Rime of the Ancient Mariner

Please contact me ASAP with any trouble with a shipment; if it has not arrived or is damaged. International buyers should be aware that it may take up to 45 days for their packages to get to you. This is due to the post office, the time it takes for the package to go through customs, and the time it takes for the local carrier or courier to actually deliver the package. Shipments sent via USPS First Class International mail commonly take 30-60 days to arrive to certain countries. If you need your shipment faster, I can change carriers to USPS Express Mail or UPS at an additional charge. Please email me before purchasing.

Turn around time can be up to 3 weeks. I do not offer rush orders at this time.
Additional policies and FAQs
These designs are handmade and one of a kind, so there will be slight variations in each piece, it is apart of their charm, enjoy it!

Currently, 50% of the product price for each item in my shop goes to disaster relief non-profit organizations helping those effected by Hurricane Harvey.

Clean with care, using abrasive or harsh materials can cause scratches or distress to any piece of jewelry. Warm water is the best bet when cleaning your own jewelry. Remove jewelry during tasks, sports or before entering a pool, spa, or salt water for a longer life span.

Silver Jewelry:
Warm water is a great way to clean your jewelry. To remove heavy tarnishing, use polishing pad provided for best results. Gently rub pad over silver to bring back shine. All silver pieces are wax coated to slow tarnishing, but it will not prevent it.

Copper Jewelry:
Clear coated to prevent tarnishing and skin discoloration. Wash gently in warm water.

Silver Plated Accessories:
Some of my pieces utilize the cost effectiveness of silver plated materials. The silver plated materials used are nickel and lead safe. With all plated materials, that plating can ware over time. Basic jewelry care can prevent the plating from deteriorating over time.
