My wool fibers are sourced ethically from a supplier who stocks wool from non-mulsed sheep, including ethically sourced merino fibers from Cape wool. I also use a mix of local Welsh wool fibers. I use only suppliers who care about how they source their supplies. We are an animal friendly home! I buy my wool from other artisan businesses and hand card my wool fibers.

I dye my fibers with acid dyes which I mix myself, in order to create the shades I need for each felt piece. (The only acidic thing in these dyes is the white vinegar I mix with the dye compounds). I also hand dye fabrics with fiber reactive dyes. All my fibers are washed with eco washing products. I make my own oak wood buttons using fallen wood from the beloved oak trees I have known all of my life!

I produce my creations using a variety of techniques. Above all I enjoy mixed media. I don't like rules, but then again who does!

Where possible I like to use up-cycled and natural materials in my creations.
If you have any questions please message me! Thank you for taking the time to visit my shop!

About

The Beauty of Nature

I have always enjoyed making handmade creations. I was lucky to have grown up in a beautiful place with my twin sister, in a time when children ran wild with nature. We spent our days building camps and bridges, from fallen branches and bundles of twigs. We made perfumes from the petals of roses, and sat on blankets waiting for them to take us to enchanted places.
For a time I wondered a different path, I lived and studied in London, and lived happily in Brighton where I enjoyed the vibrant artistic community.
However something beckoned me.
And somehow I found my way back to the Woodlands of my childhood, and the creations I had made there.
I found a moment to reconnect to Mother Nature, the inspiration for my Art .
I have sold my work at Festivals, Galleries and Craft Fairs and I currently also enjoy the handmade community online.
