First, see my profile. In addition to that, I'd like to add that I'm basically a hippie at heart. I'm fairly easy going. My dream is to live in the country, raise my own food, and barter for the things that I need that I can't make.
My family and jewelry are my passions. In addition to that, I like to play dress-up. Several times a year, my husband and I take a weekend and go play Pirate, both dressing and acting the part, at huge pirate events. We also attend Renaissance Faires and various SCA events. This year, I will be selling my jewelry at these events! In the summer, if our family isn't at a re-enacting event, we can usually be found up in the mountains, camping. We do at least one two week long camping trip a summer, more if we have time.
Growing up, as a teenager, I was a bit of an outcast. I was a punk in an area that was mainly loggers...I was the only person in my high school to go to prom with cotton candy pink hair. I went through a serious goth phase. Some of my jewelry really reflects that...I believe in releasing your inner goth...or pirate...or hippie!
About my jewelry: I make a lot of simple, basic jewelry, that can be worn with anything. Swirls, hoops, and slashes abound. Sometimes, though, I need to let my artistic imagination flow, and I make a really intricate piece.
At this point, all of my jewelry is made with either genuine copper or sterling silver wire. I am very careful to construct my jewelry in such a manner that it will NOT come apart. I take great pride in the quality of my workmanship. All the metal components of my jewelry are completely made by me, including earwires, jump-rings and chain, unless specifically stated otherwise.
About pricing: The price of my jewelry is a direct reflection of how much in materials it actually cost me to make a piece, as well as how long it took me to make it. Very simple pieces are less expensive, because they require less materials and time to make. Intricate pieces that use yards and yards of silver wire and/or gemstones, as well as hours and hours of my time, are therefore priced higher.
You can probably find less expensive jewelry, but you will not get a better value! For budget-minded individuals (who isn't, in this economy?), keep any eye on my shop. I often offer sales. One perk, if you are a returning customer, please let me know before you pay and I will give you a 10% discount...if you forget, let me know after you pay and I will just refund the money via paypal. I also offer free US shipping on purchases totaling over $50!
I am lucky enough to be a member of a group of very talented wire artisans who do a monthly theme challenge, The Wire Artisans Guild. Our guild store, as well as information and a roster of members, can be found at www.WireArtisansGuild.etsy.com

Additional policies and FAQs
I am very open to trading and bartering, please contact me if you are interested in one of my items and would like to barter or trade for it.
All of my items are created in a smoke-free home, but we do have cats and dogs.
Lay-a-way: If you REALLY want a one-of-a-kind item from my shop, but just don't have all of the funds right now, PLEASE contact me. We can almost certainly come up with some type of payment plan for you! Generally, I offer a 60 day plan...1/3 up front, with the rest due within 60 days. But I'm definitely open to other suggestions, if this doesn't work for you. Just let me know. This is a great option for Holiday gifts or larger purchases!
Please be aware: If you enter into a lay-a-way plan with me, and you renege on your payments with no contact, you forfeit both the item and whatever payments you have made, to date. I am a very understanding, reasonable person. So, if for some reason you can't make a payment on time, or need to extend the length of of the agreement, just please contact me and let me know.
