Hi! My name is Jackie, I'm 24 and a recent graduate from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. I currently work in multiple fiber techniques, but most of the work you will see here is hand embroidered! My work is inspired by my own sentimental experiences with nature. I often repeat the same motifs over and over, like my pine trees, as a meditative practice. Landscape pieces are either fictional or drawn from my own reference photos. I would describe my illustrative style as "whimsical" and "storybook-ish."

I picked up embroidery as a hobby during January of 2016. It soon became obvious to me that I wanted more out of the craft so slowly I started stitching my own designs and trademarked my own style of pine trees in my work, which characteristically became known as "tiny trees." A year into embroidery, I started Forest Fibers on Instagram and soon opened an Etsy shop to sell my work. Since then I have had the joy to send hoops out all over the world!
