We spell names with periodic table element tiles, like Yttrium, Oxygen and Uranium for Y·O·U. Some letters have no real element (looking at you, J and Q!). For those we invent a new one, with its own funny name and properties, like Adorablium: highly reactive before coffee. The invented tiles are marked with a ✦, so you can tell they're on purpose.
