Please be aware: Perfume colors may get darker over time. Nearly Nu especially gets a darker, “skin” type color. I don’t use UV Stabilizers or Dyes, so the color changes happen naturally on their own.

Great sillage along with projection. The smell is intoxicating as it leaves you wanting more. I couldn’t recommend this fragrance enough! I bought full size versions of Wasteland Warrior and Tobacco Pod right away. If you loved Gucci Rush back in the late 90's, you'll really like WW. Warm, spicy, complicated, totally delicious.

5 out of 5 starsI wore the sample before the release and immediately knew I wanted a full bottle. I hope that says enough lol Opens up sweet, bright, tart, and fizzy. An opening I've never experienced before with an oud based frag! It then dries into this smooth bright woody accord with clean oud, maybe rose and touches of a fruity note I can't pinpoint. But wow!!! Stunning scent!

5 out of 5 starsThis is such a beautiful and wonderful scent. I get so many compliments on it every time I wear it. For a unisex fragrance, I do think it is on the sweeter side just my opinion. I enjoy all of their scents and the vendor is really nice. Will continue to buy, support, and promote!

For the Scent of Life
I started this journey 6 years ago as of 2021. I have always loved scent, even as a young child, and my love of perfumery has led me to learn the art of creating perfumes from scratch. I set out to learn how to craft a perfume that smelled as good as any I would buy for my own collection, but also didn’t have all the unnecessary packaging associated with niche perfumery.
“For the Scent of It” originated after someone asked me once why I wear perfume. My response was simply, “for the scent of it”. Now, For the Scent of It is on a mission to create small batches of high quality perfumes for people who love the scents of life.
As for my logo and why the bare oak tree? When I was young I used to climb a massive White oak tree that was in the middle of this woodland. I used to spend hours in the tree, leaping between branches, watching birds, just enjoying nature. It’s my earliest scent memory. To this day, when I smell white oak it takes me back to that tree and just makes me happy. There’s always been a soft spot for the oak tree for me and I felt it had to be a part of my logo when I designed it. The shadow it casts to the ”S” is symbolically also the winding path one has to take through life to find what makes them happy. It’s never a straight line…

Frequently asked questions
Do I add water to my perfumes?
I only list water as an ingredient due to there being a minuscule amount of water naturally in ethanol. I do not add water to my fragrances.
What are “pre-made” fragrance oils?
Fragrance Oils are pre-made, synthetic mixtures meant to replicate a smell, such as fruity cereal, oranges, pumpkin spice, etc; or even a perfume already in market. Many perfumes sold as “handmade” are just these fragrance oils diluted in ethanol and sold as such. “Designer” fragrance oils can be purchased inexpensively and can be used to mimic famous perfumes on the market. There are quite a few brands that do just that. Many fragrance oils contain cheap materials diluted in a carrier oil such as Diethyl Pthalate or Benzyl Benzoate.
Do I ship internationally?
Currently, I do not ship internationally.
How do I make custom perfumes?
I create custom fragrances by sitting down, in person or by screen, and figuring out exactly what the customer has in mind. The timeline can vary as can the price, depending on the customers wishes for their perfume. The formula is the customer’s own and won’t be used or given to anyone else. I have created scents for individuals and one so far for a startup men’s brand of body products. If you are interested in having a scent created, contact me and we can get started.
How long will the perfume last and will it go bad?
All perfume will spoil over time due to oxidation and the sunlight’s rays degrading the perfume. I don’t use UV absorbers (a popular one you’ll see on 99% of designer fragrances is “Ethylhexyl Salicylate) so I ask you to just store your perfume in a dark place. All perfume should be stored that way. I have printed on the labels a “12M” shelf life symbol only as a precaution. It will undoubtedly last longer than 12 months so long as it is stored accordingly.
