Tea and Fortunes
Shortly after humans discovered how to control fire, they began brewing tea. It didn't take long for someone to look in their cup at the dregs and wonder what the shapes meant.
Carl Jung talked about learning more about one's self by using the tarot. I find it even more fun to use tea leaves, since then you get to add sugar, cream and cookies.
I went to school to be a psychologist, and became a potter instead. Along the way I learned how to make my own decals from iron oxide, using ephemera and printed images. I also became an avid gardener and took classes in herbalism. Put all of that in a blender and you will see that this shop is a reflection of me, my love of old images, and tea.
Whether you believe that the leaves tune themselves to your aura while you drink the tea, and thus can give you insights into your future, or whether you believe that the act of looking ahead informs your subconscious to fill in information gaps that your conscious mind has missed, tea leaf reading is a very nice way to learn more about yourself.
You can see my other shops on Etsy too. AntB.etsy.com and SecondChanceCeramics.etsy.com
I love teas, pottery and pictures. Blend them together, and you get the impulses that created this shop.
I really hope you take the time to browse through my shop!
And feel free to drop me a line, I am "convo friendly" and would love to meet some of the inhabitants of Etsy!
Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
For items over 25.00, shipped inside the US, the shipping price reflects added insurance for the item, but because I tend to over-pack the pottery, there aren't really any problems.
If breakage or a missing package should occur, the insurance is your refund, though I will do my best to help you with the process.
I do not include any sort of receipt or invoice in my packages. You can print a copy for yourself from your Etsy page, or if you ask me to, I will include a copy for you.
If you would like me to include a note with a gift purchase, just let me know!
Any duty fees or tariffs, are the responsibility of the customer.
How I pack the boxes for domestic and international sales: I wrap the pottery in bubble wrap or foam, and I reinforce the boxes I use, and often double box. I use recycled materials when I can, but my first thought is always "how can I protect the pottery while it is shipped"!
You are responsible for all duty, customs, or any other charges imposed by your country above and beyond the USPS (United States Postal Service) postal charges that you already paid. These may be due when you pick up your package.
Charges for international mail can be hard to estimate. If I have over charged you for shipping, I will refund the difference.
