Your home state, rediscovered.
Found Michigan is a new heritage project maintained by two journalists and screenprinters who want you to see your home state in a whole new light.
We launched FoundMichigan.org as a place to explore and revel in all the things that make Michigan unique; a place to share stories about Michigan life, history, and culture—and to get people thinking and talking about what it means to be a Michigander.
When you purchase a t-shirt from our shop, you're helping support the stories we produce at FoundMichigan.org. Our t-shirts are inspired by Michigan places and stories we love; they're soft, they fit like a favorite vintage tee, and best of all, they make us happy when we wear them. Simply put, they're our own favorite t-shirts. It's our hope, with each package we send out, that these shirts will become *your* favorite shirts, too; pieces of wearable art that remind you of your favorite places, and make you proud to call Michigan home.
Owner, Screenprinter, Photographer, Shipping, Customer Service
As sole owner of Found Michigan, I wear all the hats here, including printing, shipping, and customer service. I am a writer by day, with a focus on Michigan travel, history and culture. My favorite Michigan spot? Little Presque Isle.

Additional policies and FAQs
We print on American Apparel 50/50 cotton-poly blend and 50/25/25 cotton-poly-rayon blend shirts. These shirts are super durable, super comfy, and have the fit and feel of your favorite vintage tee. The fabric is finer than 100 percent cotton shirts, with great color fastness and minimal shrinkage.
Women's shirts: The women's shirts are more fitted with a scooped neckline, and they run VERY small -- so unless you like your shirts to be snug, we suggest that ladies order a size up from what they'd normally wear.
Men's shirts: Men's sizes run true.
Tip: To measure the chest, measure under the arms around the fullest part of the chest. Keep the tape comfortably loose and level across the back. Waist measurement is for your "natural waist" (to find this, stand up and bend to one side; a crease will fold above your belly button but below your rib cage, and this is the spot from which you should hold the measuring tape).
