A second life for vintage books

I began recycling books back in 2008 after being a book lover and bit of a hoarder for many years.

I think I save and store more than I recycle, but that's ok, because some precious gems should just be kept as books. I seem to have a soft spot for the decorative, musty smelling ones from pre 1930.

I re-purpose as much of a book as possible. Spines become bookmarks & the pages become cut illustrations for craft packs or are created into smaller notebooks.

Some people have told me that purchasing a journal is like buying nostalgia - and in a way I guess it is. I love seeing the look on someone's face when they spot their favourite childhood book that's been given a second life.

Most importantly - a big thank all the wonderful people who have cherished and kept their old books so I'm able to continue their life for others to enjoy.

So save those books people - you never know where they will end up.
