I’m Kate LaPietra, the founder, owner, and chief flower officer of Fountainhead Floral Design.
I absolutely love spreading beauty into people lives through flowers. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, excitement!
I left a career in public service behind to follow my flower dream, but I’ve never lost my spirit for serving the public. I want to be the person that injects your world with more color!
I’m a “jill-of-all-trades”, a small-town, youngest child, creative, and a pretty good cook. I pride myself on being down-to-earth, a good listener, and always ready to break the silence with a witty remark. I love my dog (Pippa), my parents, all the COLORs, and margaritas with extra salt and a side of Grey’s Anatomy.
The most important people in my life are my husband and three sons. They have shaped me into the best version of myself I could hope for. Most of the time, you can find me mommin’ at our home or flowerin’ at my studio in Stratford, CT.

We are happy to work with you to create a custom order that meets your needs. Please send us a message!
Will my wreath fit behind a screen/glass door?
If you will be using your wreath behind a glass door, we recommend you measure the clearance between the door and the glass. Most of our wreaths are 5-7” deep however if you need it to be more flush, just write “glass door” in the comments to seller when you place your order. Please keep in mind that our wreaths are made of all natural materials and are not as durable as plastic products. If the door has a lot of opening and closing throughout the day you may experience more shedding.
How long will my item last?
Items made with dried and preserved materials can enjoy a useful life of one year or more if kept under ideal conditions. This includes a spot away from direct sunlight, moisture or extreme heat. Some items may be more delicate than others depending on their thickness.
Do you offer express shipping?
If you require an expedited order please reach out to us ASAP. We will calculate exact express shipping costs using the lowest cost carrier. If you require express shipping we will process your order within 1 business day.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Our wreaths are carefully packaged to reduce item shed. We zip tie our wreaths to their shipping box and include no other wrapping to eliminate friction with the item. All of our loose bunches are wrapped in cellophane or Kraft paper wrap. Bouquets are stylishly wrapped and ready for gifting.
Returns
We do not accept returns on any items. If there is an issue with your order please notify us with 3 days of receipt so we may rectify the problem. Please retain original item and original packaging. We cannot process your return if you dispose of your item without contacting us first.
