Mother-Daughter (in law) Duo at Four Bugs In A Rug!
We are a Mother-Daughter (in law) duo whose love of sewing, home décor and crafting led us to Etsy! We never imagined that our hobby would turn into a growing business. Building our company together has been an adventure that has involved our entire family…husbands and kids included! Although, our store does require a great deal of time and attention, we do make a conscious effort to create balance in our lives! We love the benefits of having our children and grandchildren around us as we work and being able to put our families’ priorities first make all the hard work worth every minute!
Carol is a lifelong seamstress whose family business introduced her to the drapery business at a young age; she grew up with scissors in her hand! Carol then went on to open up her own drapery business allowing her to work from home while her kids were in school. Her experience and knowledge in the drapery business has made her an invaluable resource to our customers. Carol is responsible for sewing all the table runners and pillows as well as ordering all of our fabrics!
I (Renee) am so proud to oversee our growing embroidery business, we love creating personalized items for our customers, it’s so much fun! I am now learning the secrets of sewing from Carol! I do not have a sewing background but I have learned so much about fabric weights, runs, sizing, pattern repeats and working with fabric by the yard or bolt!!!
Carol and I work together on fabric combinations and new product ideas. We may not always have the same ideas about how to do things but we can honestly say the key to our success is that we have a mutual respect for each other and for each others idea’s…good and bad!!!

Due to the custom nature of our products we do not offer returns unless there was an error on our part. Review your monogramming instructions (listed in the description of each item) for personalized items BEFORE your order is placed. ALL orders will be monogrammed EXACTLY AS TYPED in your order notes. If you have questions about your personalization, please message me before ordering. Refunds/Returns/Exchanges will NOT be offered for your errors in monogramming instructions.

Do you offer discount for large orders?
Yes! We offer 10% off of your total order if you order 4 or more of the same item...some exclusions do apply so just convo us to find out if your large order qualifies!
What is correct monogram format?
• Traditional Monogram Initial order is as follows: FIRST Name, LAST Name, MIDDLE Name.
Example: Renee Michelle Orr would be ROM - O is the last name.
• Couple Monogram: Bride's First Name, Couples Last Name, Groom's First Name. Example: Caroline and Jack Smith would be CSJ
• Men's Monogram: (Most Common)
FIRST Name, MIDDLE Name, LAST Name
Example: Connor Michael Smith would be CMS
How long does it take to receive my item?
All orders mail out in 7-10 business days (Monday-Friday and excluding holidays).
We are not able to start setting up the personalization for your order until we have all the details required. If we receive an order with information missing we will send you an email or convo requesting the missing info.
Where do I put the personalization info for my order?
We will need this information for all personalized items:
1. Font Choice or Monogram Style
2. Name, Single Initial or Monogram (First, LAST, Middle Initial for monograms)
3. If using a monogram, please provide the full name so there is no confusion on initial placement
I don't like the font I chose, can you redo,it?
No. I cannot redo or remake your items based on your font regrets. Please understand that we offer up to 3 font proofs upon request for you to verify what your monogramming will look like before we stitch out your Order. This service has to be requested before or at the time the order has been placed.
You monogrammed this wrong. I thought you'd know the order I wanted the letters in. Can you redo this?
