Hand knit, hand woven
My shop is a little baby shop, just starting out. I have always wanted to do some kind of selling at craft shows, and have made many starts and stops. My hope is to establish my etsy shop, build up a stock of stuff over the summer, and sell warm knits in at least one craft show this fall.
Although I dream of someday having a studio all to myself, with shelves upon shelves of yarn, I currently work on fiber arts at home, in my free time between part time jobs. Living in a small city, the job market has been especially tough for a recent grad without a ton of experience. On the bright side, that scarcity has inspired me to explore many ideas of starting something of my own. I do have a tendency to start projects, get discouraged, and stop, but this shop is my attempt at not doing that again.
I have another shop on Etsy called Squirrel Seeds (I love the woodland animals), selling seed beads.

I learned to knit my freshman year in college and couldn't stop. Knitting led to learning other crafts, and while I take to most things crafty, fiber arts seem to be my strength. I also love the outdoors, learning to garden, reading, and pets.

My husband, Chris, helps out with the shop a lot. He is learning about photography and taking color-accurate photos of my knits is a valuable skill. He also helps me with graphic design things like making my banner and business cards.
