I was disappointed with this shop's communication on my order. I ordered save the dates for my wedding and over a month later, still didn't receive a proof. Every time I contacted them, it was always "next week" or "I'll get it to you on such and such date". I ordered plenty in advance so I wasn't crunched for time, but I wish the shop had been honest and proactive in communicating the delays with me. I ended up cancelling my order because of it.

These delays were truly unexpected, and I did respond to all buyer queries, although I agree I was not as proactive as I could have been or wish I could have been given the circumstances. I've always been a writer, drawn to art and design, but of the belief that I could never do it myself. I thought you were one or the other.

After having my son in February 2013, I found myself constantly inspired to do more with my life. Maybe it's a way of establishing more of an identity for myself. Maybe it's to show him to always pursue your dreams. Maybe it's because he's so inspiring. Maybe it's because I'm so deliriously sleep-deprived that I'm more creative than ever.

Whatever it is, I've finally been able to make my longtime dream come true. Franny & Franky Designs (named after my mother and my grandfather, two of the most inspiring people I've known) started with the idea to create state and city prints with a twist, to help people show their hometown (or other town) pride in a unique and artistic way.

From my initial heart map art prints grew neighborhood prints, hand-lettered maps, and wedding items. The spirit of Franny & Franky lies in allowing all our customers to receive or give an item that feels truly personal -- that feels like home.

I accept major credit cards via Etsy Direct Checkout, as well as payments made through PayPal. Payment is due upon purchase.

For custom orders, payment is due BEFORE any design work can begin.

On occasion, I may arrange for a deposit on large or complex custom orders. This is on a case-by-case basis. If a deposit is set up for your listing, it will be nonrefundable to cover any design work in the event that you need to cancel your order before printing.

PACKAGING

All 8x10 and 11x14 prints are packaged in a clear, sealed bag to protect against the elements, and backed by a rigid cardboard insert. The whole shebang is then secured in a rigid, stay-flat mailer. This ensures that your artwork remains pristine and undamaged when it arrives on your doorstep.

Note cards are packaged in small kraft boxes and shipped in a small shipping box.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING

All 8x10 and 11x14 ship via USPS first-class mail by default. This method is estimated to take 2-5 business days.

Please note that the USPS does NOT guarantee specific delivery dates. 2-5 days is an estimate given by the post office. While the vast majority of packages do arrive in a timely manner, occasionally packages may encounter a delay or even be lost. Please refer to WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEVER RECEIVE MY ORDER below for information on delayed or lost shipments.

A shipping upgrade is available on 8x10 and 11x14 prints. This is an upgrade to USPS Priority mail, which is estimated to take 1-3 business days, depending on your zone.

As with first-class mail, USPS Priority is NOT guaranteed to arrive on a specific date.

If you need your order delivered on a specific date, please contact me about alternate shipping options. Please keep in mind that these options will often be significantly more costly than first-class or Priority mail.

Note card box sets and wedding orders ship via 1-3 day Priority mail by default. As such, there is no shipping upgrade available on those listings.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

International shipping rates have increased significantly in 2016. Shipping from the United States to all destinations (except Canada) has increased 21.6% as of January 17. Please note that we do not make a profit on shipping. Shipping costs reflect the actual postage paid to ship to you.

International shipments are sent via First Class International with the U.S. Postal Service. This method is estimated to arrive within 10-14 business days.

Please note that the USPS does NOT guarantee specific delivery dates. 10-14 business days is an estimate given by the post office. While the vast majority of packages do arrive in a timely manner, occasionally packages may encounter a delay or even be lost. Please refer to WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEVER RECEIVE MY ORDER below for information on delayed or lost shipments.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEVER RECEIVE MY PRINT?

In the event that your print is lost by the postal service, just contact me via a private Etsy conversation, and I will immediately look into it and take steps to fix it.

Your options may include:

1. I can ship you a replacement print ASAP and at no additional cost.

2. After 15 business days, the post office considers a package officially lost. At that point, but not before it, a claim can be filed. If 15+ business days have elapsed since your package was shipped and you do NOT want a replacement print shipped, we will issue a full refund for your purchase.

We regret that we cannot issue refunds until 15 days has elapsed.

MY ORDER IS TAKING FOREVER TO GET HERE -- WHAT GIVES?

Please see the above section WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEVER RECEIVE MY PRINT for information on delayed shipments.

MY PACKAGE ARRIVED DAMAGED!

I am so sorry you're dealing with this! Please just send me a private Etsy conversation with a brief description of the damage. I will then send you a replacement order at no charge, or issue a full refund (whichever you prefer).

After notifying me of the damage, you may receive a request from U-PIC, the provider that handles insurance for USPS shipments, for a buyer affidavit confirming the damage. If you have any questions about this process, please just let me know. This is just so I am able to collect a partial refund from the post office to defray material costs. This does not affect your order in any way.
Refunds and Exchanges
DOMESTIC RETURNS:

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please contact me so we can determine the best resolution for your issue. Any returns, exchanges, or complaints should be initiated within 30 days of purchase.

When returning an item you are dissatisfied with within 30 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund for the cost of the item, minus any PayPal or Etsy fees and the original shipping cost. Return shipping is at the buyer's expense; please return packaged securely.

CUSTOM ORDERS:

For custom orders, you will always have the opportunity to review a proof of your design before I ship. Because of this, we are unfortunately unable to accept returns or issue refunds on custom orders.

INTERNATIONAL RETURNS:

For save the date postcards, we are also happy to customize any envelope orders beyond the standard white. Colored envelopes, lined envelopes, envelope addressing -- just let us know what you're looking for.

IS THIS A GIFT?

We are happy to provide a note with any gift orders, as well as appropriate packaging. There is no charge for this service. If you require special gift wrapping, a small surcharge may apply.

Can I add text to a print?

Yes! Just let me know via convo or in your Note to Seller at checkout. Adding text will add 2 business days to the processing time listed in your order (unless the piece is already a customizable design)
