About

weaving beauty into your every day...

My Story
Stepping into a local bead store many years ago, I instantly spotted the rows and rows of little tubes, filled to the brim with tiny seed beads. Such a collection of stunning color all in one spot. My creative spirit was captivated, and I signed up for my first beading class that very day. Then I attended more classes. I read stacks of bead books, and, after the kiddies had drifted off to sleep, spent many an evening perfecting my beading techniques. I fell head-over-heels in love with jewelry making, and, as a consequence, Fredbean's Nook was launched.
My own style has developed over the years, incorporating my much-loved techniques of stitch, weave, and macramé. Fredbean’s Nook creations are rich in texture, visual intrigue, color, and a seamless blend of soft fibers with metal artisan components. Each knot is carefully tied and placed with precision. And, using tiny glass beads, each beaded bead is meticulously and lovingly hand-stitched. I hand-craft each and every piece in my quaint and quiet little nook, taking great pride in my work.

Born and raised in Devon, England, I am now live in Rhode Island. It is here that I spend time creating jewelry, endeavoring to stay active and healthy, and dealing with the trials and tribulations of having two teenagers in the house.
