Welcome to Aquatic Impressions by Fred Fisher, your source for quality Gyotaku fish rubbings.
Gyotaku ("gyo" meaning fish and "taku" meaning rubbing or impression) is a century old art form that I use to accurately depict my prized catches. Each is wonderfully vibrant in color and is created by pressing paper or cloth onto a fish covered with acrylic paint for a unique mirror image. Please see my profile for additional details on how I create my fish rubbings.
A wide assortment of original fish rubbings are also available. Please convo me for more details.

4 out of 5 starsArtwork is beautiful, just wish I could have enjoyed it. The cap of the tub wasn’t on the poster when arrived. The edge of the art was all bent up, creased, and torn on some areas. I wanted to get this limited edition art framed and displayed but now it’s just going to stay in the tube and I’m out some money. Cheers!
