Frequently asked questions
Can I change the fabric/style of a corset?
Yes! Any of my corsets can be changed to a different style. If you see a corset in one style, but like the fabric of another, just message me and I can start a custom order for you.
What type of boning do you use in your corsets?
I use synthetic whalebone, which is more historically accurate, durable, and comfortable to wear than steel boning. Steel boning was not used until the Victorian era, and only used because steel was easier to manufacture than sourcing whalebone. Now that synthetic whalebone is available and a suitable alternative, it is agreed upon by many fashion historians as the best type of boning to use. If you would prefer steel boning in your corset for any reason, I am happy to upgrade it for an additional fee. You can find a listing for this in my shop.
How long is your processing time?
Processing times vary per item. You can view the processing time for each item on the listing page.
Do you accept returns/exchanges?
Standard Size Corsets:
Corsets made in standard sizing (XS-XXL) can be exchanged for a different size, or you can upgrade to the custom fit sizing for $50 more. I do not accept returns on corsets as these items are made to order.
Custom fit corsets/skirts/chemises:
Items that are custom fit or personalized are not eligible for returns or exchanges as they are made custom to your body measurements. Therefore, please take caution when recording your measurements, as I can not be held responsible for items that do not fit due to incorrect measurements being given.
Jewelry and accessories:
Eligible for refund if returned within 30 days
Shipping costs for all returns/exchanges are the responsibility of the buyer.
Do you offer plus size?
Any corset can be made in any size! Just choose the "custom fit" option under the size selection. All of my chemises made from linen and most of my skirts are also able to be made in plus sizes.
Do you sell corset patterns?
My corset patterns are not for sale, sorry!
How should I clean my corset?
To keep your corset in its best condition, it is not recommended to wear your corset directly against your skin. Keep body oils and sweat off of your corset by wearing one of our chemises under your corset. If you must wash the corset, we recommend dry cleaning only.
