About

Classic Beauty meets Modern Style

I'm a graduate student at Brown, so my work is actually a way for me to vent creatively. I study philosophy, so there's not much in the way of handcrafting. It's the perfect counterpoint, and I love to create tangible objects and use them to connect with other people.

I started out by making a few small things for myself - DIY style - thinking that I could do a better job than what I saw in shops, and really wanting to get things just the way I liked. A few friends saw the jewelry I was making and their encouragement got me started here!

I draw inspiration from all kinds of places - first and foremost architecture and design. But I also studied math in college and worked at a flower shop, so I get a lot of inspiration from the way geometric and organic forms come together. (Karl Blossfeldt = LOVE.) You can see some of the sources of inspiration on my Pinterest boards (http://pinterest.com/freshgrammar/).

I'm still working day by day to improve my items and shop, and I still relish every minute.

Thank you for stopping by! Please take a minute to review the following information before making your final purchase.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I accept PayPal, due within 36 hours of checkout (if for some reason this is a problem, please contact me directly).

If the payment is not received within this time and other arrangements have not been made, the sale will be canceled and the item will be relisted.
Shipping
All jewelry is packaged in jewelry boxes unless otherwise specified.

Shipping covers packaging and USPS first-class shipping to the address associated with your Etsy account (unless other arrangements have been made). Shipping will take two to three business days from the time of payment.

Combined shipping will take the base shipping price of the most expensive item and add the combined shipping price of any others. (E.g., if there are two items, one whose shipping costs $3 and another whose shipping costs $2, the combined shipping price will be $3 plus $.50 for the additional piece.)

Also, if you live in or near Providence, I'm happy to arrange a pickup! I'll refund all shipping charges as appropriate.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want each customer to be satisfied with the piece purchased. If there are any questions or problems, please contact me asap.

If, for any reason, the need should arise, I offer refunds within 7 business days, as long as the customer pays return shipping costs and the item is returned in the condition it was originally shipped in.

If against odds an item should arrive damaged, the customer will be offered a choice of a replacement if possible or else store credit.
Additional policies and FAQs
Repairs/Warranty:

All of my items are handmade, and though I try my best to make sure they're durable, there's only so much I can do without wearing them around for several weeks myself.

If within the first 4 months anything breaks (through day-to-day wear), let me know. If it's something I can repair, and the customer pays shipping both ways, I'll be happy to repair it at no cost.
