About

Quality softgoods for an enjoyable life.

Hey there, thanks for joining us at Plays With Tees!

Our shop here is a platform for the two of us to express the things - big and small - that inspire us in our daily lives.

We love creating new ideas to put on fabric, and repurposing vintage ones for a clean and crisp look, but with a throwback style. We have all sorts of interests, and those drive us to print a variety of different themes, from animals to adventure to anatomy to travel. And much, much more. This is a place for us to express the things that we dig, and it allows us to share them with the world. With you, and you, and you!

We made our first T-shirt in 2003, and it all blossomed from there. Some success, much more failure, and all these years later, we're still doing what we love - and Etsy is a huge part of that. We love the community here, the platform it gives creators like us, and the attitude of the Etsy customer, which is easily our favorite part of being here.

For the past several years, we've strictly used eco-friendly / earth-friendly inks to make every shirt we sell. Not only is it better for our health, but it's better for the environment. Each little bit counts and this is very important to us.

We also only use blank T-shirts that are made in the U.S.A. here in our Plays With Tees shop. This generally means American Apparel, but we sometimes get our hands on other American-made blanks, which are noted in the details of each listing.

In addition to that, we print every shirt by hand, and everything we do is made-to-order. This means that your shirt is printed specifically for you, every single time you place an order with us.

The two of us here appreciate everything that both you and Etsy have done for us, and we'll continue to work hard in order to bring you the best goods we can.

Keep up to date on Etsy for new designs and inspiration, and be sure to join us on social media:

Frequently asked questions

How do sizes run?

We use American Apparel for all of our items unless otherwise noted. These tend to run on the fitted side, and we *definitely* recommend that you check the size chart in each listing's images to see measurements so that you can ensure your shirt will fit properly. If you do not find what you're looking for, please contact us for further information.

Do you offer custom designs or additional printing?

We do not offer custom artwork at this time, including back or other additional prints to the designs in our shop.

Do you offer custom print or shirt colors?

We do not offer custom print colors unless your order is 5 shirts or more. We do offer custom shirt colors upon request, but you must contact us *before* you order.

What is your turnaround time, and do you offer rush shipping?

We do not offer rush/expedited shipping at this time. All items are custom-made to order - specifically for you! - and take us a few business days to process and ship. Because of this, we cannot guarantee a delivery date and we do not offer expedited shipping options. We also do not offer pickup at this time.

Do you offer wholesale?

We do offer wholesale. Please send us a message if you would like to carry our products. Be sure to include your shop name, website, contact info, and any other pertinent information. Please note that we do *not* offer drop-shipping, fulfillment, or consignment.

How do I return or exchange an order?

You are welcome to contact us about an exchange or return within 7 days of receiving your order. Please note that you will be responsible for sending your item back to us and for shipping of your new item if you are exchanging. Please contact us with any questions.

Where do you ship from and where are your shirts made?

We ship from our studio in Pennsylvania. All of our shirts are printed by hand - and by us! - in the United States. All of the blank shirts we use are made in the U.S. by American Apparel, unless otherwise noted in a listing's details.

Is your printing eco-friendly, and how do your prints feel?

We print all of our shirts with water-based inks, which are as eco-friendly as possible. They are soft and will get softer with washing, and therefore may not be as bright as the old, plastisol method of printing. You may notice some discoloration on our shirts from time to time. This is caused by our eco-friendly curing process, and will wash out. Please refer to the washing instructions on the card that came with your shirt, and contact us with any questions.
