I sell vintage because I love vintage. My greatest pleasure is sharing items I love with the larger world. I like to call it "catch and release" antiquing, because I get both the pleasure of finding and handling the item, and the satisfaction of helping it make its way to someone who will hopefully appreciate it as much as (or even more than) I do.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
I accept payment via PayPal only. Please pay for your item within 72 hours of purchase. If you change your mind or have purchased something in error; please contact me ASAP and if the item has not shipped I will cancel your purchase and refund your payment (if applicable).
Shipping
I ship within three to five days of receiving payment. If you need something faster, let me know and I will do my best to expedite shipment.

I ship by way of the United States Postal Service. In most instances I ship via Priority Mail, but if there is an enormous difference in cost between Priority and Parcel Post, I will ship Parcel Post.

I DO NOT charge a handling or packaging fee.

If combined shipping paid exceeds the actual shipping cost by more than $2.00, I will refund the cost to you, the buyer, via PayPal. If I miscalculate and shipping costs more than my shipping charge, I absorb the difference.

If shipping costs seem high, please understand that the items I sell are often heavy AND fragile; crowding a box to save postage is almost always a recipe for disaster.

Shipping vintage items--particularly china, pottery and glassware, through the mails can be challenging. I try very hard to protect items from damage through careful packing, but every now and then something doesn't survive the trip, which is a heartache for you, the buyer, and also for me, because I know from personal experience how disappointing it is to open something and find it damaged. Also, vintage items are unique and not always easy to replace.

The miracle of the Internet is that it is easier than ever to find what you are looking for; the risk is that the item must be shipped, which carries the risk of damage or loss. Fortunately, most of the time I ship an item it arrives at its destination safely.

To cover those instances in which items do not arrive safely, I require insurance on all packages. This is for your protection and for mine. If you choose to waive the cost of insurance, please let me know, but also know that I will not be able to cover the cost of the item if it arrives damaged.

I DO ship internationally; please convo me with the item you are interested in and your location, and I will respond promptly with a shipping quote.
Refunds and Exchanges
Any item can be returned for any reason within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. The item must be received by me in the same condition as when it was originally shipped. The buyer is responsible for paying return postage. Postage costs will not be refunded.

USPS insurance policies allow for reimbursement for the value of a damaged item but not for the cost of insurance or for postage. In the event of an item that is lost, USPS should reimburse for the value of the item and the cost of postage, but not the cost of insurance. More details can be found at usps.gov.

It is the buyer's responsibility to file a claim with USPS in the event of loss or damage. This can be done in person at the post office or online. I will assist in providing additional information (proof of value, proof of purchase of insurance, transaction number, and so on) but it makes more sense for you, the buyer, to file the claim as you have the item and packaging (in the event of a damaged item) or (in the event of a lost package) are the one who needs to attest that you did not receive a package the USPS reports as having been delivered.
Additional policies and FAQs
I guarantee that anything sold in my vintage shop, Fresh-Pikd For You, is twenty years or older.

I always welcome special requests; I take great pleasure in tracking down unique and hard-to-find vintage items.

I'm well aware that my most valuable asset is customer satisfaction. I try to describe my items to the best of my abilities, and always do a final inspection before packing, but with vintage items there's always a chance I might miss something. If you feel that what I've shipped you does not meet my description in some way, please let me know and I'll try to make things right.
