Announcement    Leave no fiber behind when making your creations this summer.
We want to assure our customers that our fiber is sourced from only the most trusted suppliers of natural fiber in the world. The fibers we offer, including cashmere, are the "real deal". These fibers form the basis of all our products including our beautiful “Noir” colorways. No time to spin? Check out the new handspun angora yarn listings from our own "very happy" rabbits.

Also for plant fiber and vegan spinners and felters, Bamboo fiber is in the shop. We have some exciting plans for this year expanding our fiber offering. More fiber is coming in. Stay tuned.

We hope you enjoy exploring our shop for a variety of fibers available for your spinning, knitting and felting pleasure. Each of the fibers we list have been tested in the handmade products we make so we know how they spin, kinit, weave and dye. Just send a message if you have not tried a certain fiber.

First time making a purchase from an Etsy shop? See https://www.etsy.com/help/article/339 for a handy guide that explains the process. Bookmark our shop if you like our service. Please note we also offer a "Reserved Listing" for special orders from our customers. These are intended for one customer. Please note we offer a Custom Spinning service on a time available basis. See listing for more info.

We stock the complete line of solid and multi-colored Merino combed top originally from Ashland Bay that is now handled by Foxglove Fiber Arts Supply. We order from them on a regular basis in order to keep our inventory well stocked. Let us know if you need a large quantity of a particular color and we can call in an order. We also have our own New England sheep and these are in the "Local" section.

Hand Dyed fibers are a special service that is a lot of fun for us and provides a unique colorway for your projects. Colorways follow a repeatable recipe so you usually can order again or request a larger amount be dyed for you providing the fiber base is currently in stock.

We do our best to accurately represent the color but there are differences between device displays and the real thing. We find some colors just seem to give us problems with digital images. If there are fibers you are interested in but are concerned about the exact color, please don't hesitate to contact the shop.

The listings for most fibers are a package of 4 ounces but we will gladly set up a Reserved Listing for other amounts in the colors of your choice. Just contact us for details. Note: Certain exotic fibers are smaller amounts for example 2 ounces or 100 grams. This strategy keeps the fiber affordable relative to shipping cost. The best pricing per item is less than 16 ounces. To give you the best deal we may send your purchase in seperate packages.

Our Angora rabbits have requested a little lap time and we hand-pluck the fiber to provide long length fiber for your projects. Peg is still creating new skeins of luxurious handspun angora so check back often to see the latest listings. In addition to classic white and the soft natural colors, we offer dyed angora skeins. Pure Angora is perfect for lining hats and mittens for winter.

Our collective shop is the creation of Peg Critser and Jan Lashua. We are fiber enthusiasts working together to provide hand spinners and knitters beautiful hand dyed roving, custom blended batts and handspun yarns. We also offer needle felting supplies and blending fibers for your craft endeavors.

Fiber has drawn us together and we have become "Friends in Fiber" and so we have adopted that as the name for our shop. We hope you enjoy our fiber offers as much as we do.

Thank you for visiting!
