You can tell that a great deal of love and work went into this bag. There is a great deal of detail applied to the outside. The size is perfect! I will definitely be back. Thank you for the bracelet too.

A beautiful, unique belt made from wonderfully tactile and colourful pieces of fabric. Good communication. Thank you.

About

Bringing JOY and WONDER into your home

I've always loved making and have been crafting in one way or another since I was a child watching my mother make quilts.

For 6 blissful years I was the Executive Director of a small but thriving art school in NJ where I took just about every class offered: ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, painting, drawing, pastels, collage, glass beadmaking and on and on. FUN! When it was time for my kids to go to college I packed it in for awhile and went back to my financial management roots where I could earn some bucks. Now they have both graduated (YAY!!) and I am once again following my heart.

My embroidered paintings are truly one of a kind pieces that you won't find anywhere else! I embroider directly on unprimed canvas - then stretch it on stretcher bars, and paint around the embroidery very carefully. I developed this technique 20 years ago when my children were little and I needed some artwork I could carry around and do anywhere (the embroidered bits!). The girls have forbidden me selling those early pieces so I'm making some new work now - as always, following my heART.

In addition, I get a lot of joy these days from reinventing old furniture and clothing that has been cast off by someone else and recycling it into beautiful, functional one-of-a-kind pieces and wearable art. I've recently moved to Western Massachusetts, and into an old old house where I can spend my days painting and working on making. And the old becomes new again :)

I can be found at local art and craft shows and shops in New England. Check my websites friskyfurnishings.com and laurabundesen.com for more information, and to sign up for my email list.

"Home sweet home... We have just unpacked her ( you are the ultimate packer!!!) and are finding that she's better than perfect in our living room. I may take another couple pictures later when all situated. Happy Labor Day and great work! My husband said its a gallery piece and he wants no one to sit on her. We'll see..."

"My paintings are up and I am loving them! Laura's wonderful art has added color and excitement to our family room. I have never bought original artwork before and looking at these paintings in my home every day is thrilling."
