Announcement   Welcome to Frog Hollar Primtiques. We make wooden primitive home decor. We love old things, news things that look old, and old things that look new.

Our items are made in the primitive style. No two are completely alike. There will be chips, scratches, knots, chunks in the wood, scuffs, uneven paint, small variances in size and color. There will be imperfections. Our items are handmade, one at a time with no intention of making the item “perfect”. Our customers should be aware of this.
Some of our items are made from reclaimed wood, as such expect saw marks, nail holes, uneven cuts, uneven and missing paint. This is the nature of our products. As with all wood products, warping, splitting, shrinkage, and expansion can occur. We try to minimize this when building, but it can still occur after they have settled into their new environment. Areas with a different climate can see this happen, as in extremely humid or dry places.

About

I raided every couch cushion and old purse for rent.

Frog Hollar is a mostly one-woman show. Rhonda designs, builds, and sells her own wooden primitive decor. She began this as a Hobby in 2005 while managing a convenience store.

Rhonda started with building things she wanted, then moved on to friends and family. For most of her career in primitives, she has been a builder and wholesaler for other shops. Her products are in multiple stores around WV under the brands of Beagle Creek Designs and The Crazy Vine Lady.

In October of 2016, her daughter gave her a good push do start selling her items on Etsy and to open a retail shop.

Rhonda now runs a small primitive shop in West Hamlin, WV, and still designs and builds her own products in her barn.

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

We welcome custom and personalized orders. If you have a picture of it or just a doodle, we can build it. Several of our items allow you to customize and personalize each one as you order. If you are unsure of anything or have a special request, feel free to start a convo or call us. We like doing new things.

Shipping and Build times

Build times are separate from shipping times. Some things take time to build, paint, dry, season, etc. Most things are built within 2 weeks. Each listing has the estimated build times listed in the shipping and processing times section.

We will make every effort to meet our estimated build times, but know life happens and we get swamped and it may take a little longer.

After an item is made then the ship times come in. We take it to the post office and mail it to you. Then it can take 3 to 5 days to get to you.

The average amount of time from when you place an order to delivery at your door is 2 weeks and 3 days.

Local Orders

If you live locally and would rather pick up your item, you can still order it, pay online, and pick it up in person at the shop.

When paying online, enter the coupon code PICKUP during checkout, and that will remove any shipping charges. When you do this, we will NOT mail it out. You must come get it.

Custom orders that are ordered online and picked up locally fall in line on the build list.

Please keep an eye on your email or leave us your phone number and we will contact you when your order is ready for pickup.

The Build List

Made to Order and Custom items are placed on a build list.

This list is always changing and is created on a first pay, first make system.
All items are built in the order in which they are received.
No work will begin on custom orders until we receive payment for them.

We feel this is in fairness to all of our customers.

Alternative Shipping

Large items are expensive to ship. We use USPS for small things and UPS for oversize items.

And we only ship wood products to the USA.

If you would like to arrange your own shipping, please let us know.

We have heard good things about uship.com.
