From Dust es el resultado de muchas mamás (¡y papás!) que se han vertido desinteresadamente en mi vida. No estaría aquí hoy sin que me inspiraran.

Soy optimista: el vaso siempre está medio lleno, siempre hay un lado positivo, e incluso en el túnel más oscuro puedo imaginar la luz al final. Dicho esto, encontrar productos prácticos, de alta calidad y hermosos puede ser difícil, especialmente con niños que tienen una "paciencia de compra" limitada. Después de innumerables visitas interrumpidas a mi cadena de tiendas de artesanía favorita en busca de un perchero perfecto, estaba luchando por encontrar un estante lo suficientemente resistente como para soportar el peso que sin duda necesitaría sostener sin sacrificar el estilo que amaba. Finalmente, decidí tomar el asunto en mis propias manos. Me fui a casa encendiendo la única sierra eléctrica que tenía y me puse a trabajar cuidadosamente desenterrando lo que necesitaba de los materiales que tenía a mano. Y así, de Dust nació.
Ya sea que se trate de la superficie áspera de la madera cruda, el aroma relajante del cuero nuevo o la sensación fresca del metal fuerte, hay algo en estas materias primas que simplemente dice duradero. Ya sea que esté buscando un hermoso acento para su hogar, una billetera simple o simplemente algo para alentarlo, sé que si lo encuentra aquí, estará con usted a largo plazo.
Mi objetivo es proporcionar un fácil acceso a productos prácticos que no sacrifiquen la belleza. Como madre, sé que a veces las cosas más finas de la vida se suspenden debido a aquellos que amamos. El niño pequeño que dentición te hace decir "no" al jarrón de porcelana que te gustaría usar para agregar algo de color a tu sala de estar. La vieja y desgastada bolsa de pañales gana a tu bolso demasiado pequeño pero elegante porque sabes que necesitarás tener esas toallitas si logras salir a cenar. Y Dios sabe, si no etiquetas esa chaqueta cuando envías a tu hijo a la escuela, nunca la volverás a ver, ¡marcador permanente que es! Cuando vengas de Dust, debes saber que todo está diseñado teniendo en cuenta tu ajetreada vida de mamá porque yo también soy mamá. ¡He sido bendecida con dos pequeños que me inspiran y me desafían a crear productos que harán tu vida más simple y también más hermosa!

From Dust is a result of many moms (and dads!) who have poured selflessly into my life. I would not be here today without them inspiring me.

I am an optimist- the glass is always half full, there is always a silver lining, and even in the darkest tunnel I can imagine the light at the end. That being said, finding practical, high-quality, beautiful products can be trying, especially with kids who have limited “shopping patience”. After countless interrupted visits to my favorite chain craft store in search of a perfect coat rack, I was struggling to find a shelf sturdy enough to withstand the weight it would undoubtedly need to hold without sacrificing the style I loved. Finally, I decided to just take matters into my own hands. I went home fired up the only power saw I owned and went to work carefully unearthing what I needed from the materials I had on hand. And thus, from Dust was born.
Whether it’s the rough surface of raw wood, the soothing scent of new leather, or the cool feel of strong metal, there’s something about these raw materials that simply says durable. Whether you are looking for a beautiful accent for your home, a simple wallet, or just something to encourage you I know that if you find it here it will be with you for the long haul.
My goal is to provide easy access to practical products that don’t sacrifice beauty. As a mom, I know that sometimes the finer things in life are put on hold because of those we love. The teething toddler makes you say "no" to the porcelain vase you’d like to use to add some color to your living room. The old, worn out diaper bag wins out over your too small, but stylish handbag because you know you’ll need to have those wipes if you manage to get a dinner out. And goodness knows, if you don’t label that jacket when you send your kid to school you will never see it again- permanent marker it is! When you come to from Dust know that everything is designed with your busy, mom life in mind because I am a mom too. I’ve been blessed with two little ones who inspire and challenge me to create products that will make your life simpler and also more beautiful!
