This piece was just what I was looking for; hard not to turn around and buy two more in different colors :) Fast arrival, too.

Lovely. It looks just like the picture. It has a good design, like an S from over top so it balances well too.

I’m in LOVE. I was so tired of my scrubdaddy being a prominent feature of my island sink. I searched high and low finding no good options to hide it..
Until I found this. Adorable. Perfect.

This was a gift for my stepdad, a very practical guy, who asked for a berry bowl for his birthday. He loves it!! My mom wants to order a larger one but they weren't in stock at the time. Thanks so much :)
Fun and functional ceramics
I have always liked to make things. When I was 10 I made my mother a yellow double knit polyester pantsuit. To her credit she wore it (and may still have it!) I still sew, but started “playing with clay" when my children left home. I immediately fell in love with the material and the process of making pots. After a few years of working with clay I started selling my creations, and eventually left my corporate job to spend more time in my ceramics studio. I am very fortunate to have a studio in my home in Lancaster, PA.
Interesting shapes and bright colors intrigue me and my ceramic pieces are both fun and functional. Although I use a variety of ceramic techniques my preferred method is slip-casting. I create a prototype from clay, plaster, wood and/or found objects, then build a plaster mold from the prototype. Once the mold is dried I use stoneware clay to cast the form. After casting, pieces are cleaned, fired in the kiln, cleaned again, glazed and fired a second time. I use bright colored or white glazes to highlight the forms. All of my pieces are food-safe and can go in the microwave, dishwasher and oven.
I hope that my sense of whimsy and fun show in my work. We should all have joy and beauty in our lives everyday. Creating things and knowing that my pieces have found a home where they will be used is what makes me happy.

All of my ceramics are made with lead-free materials and are food safe unless otherwise noted. Cookware can be used in the microwave or regular oven but sudden dramatic changes in temperature should be avoided.
This is handmade art, hand washing is recommended to retain the finish and avoid chipping, but the functional ware can be washed in a dishwasher.
