Announcement
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for continuing to make my Etsy Shop such a success.
It's Christmas week and there's a good chance if you buy something from my shop you won't get it in time for Christmas. So please keep that in mind if you buy anything from my shop.
As always, each of my potholders is an original and unique creation. I never use a pattern and like all my art they are made from repurposed fabric.
They each have insulated batting and a layer of cotton batting in them for all your potholder needs. They can be machine washed and dried.
My potholders vary in size and shape although they're all around the same size about 9"x9".
If you have any questions you can always email me at maria [!at] fullmoonfiberart.com

5 out of 5 starsThis poster holds a very special meaning to me and is only one of many items created by Maria Wolf that I have admired/purchased through the years. I so appreciate that she offers multiple versions of her work through ETSY (magnets, posters) that allow affordable ways for admirers to support her creative work on an ongoing basis.

5 out of 5 starsThis poster is simply gorgeous. It’s printed on heavy paper and signed by the artist on the back. The colors are amazing I was obsessed with the original quilt when I saw photos of it online, and the opportunity to purchase the poster was a dream come true. I bought it during a very challenging time in my life. It’s providing so much comfort, inspiration and strength to me when I really need it. Highly recommend everything from this store.

My work is my voice to the world.
I started making my art in 2008.
I was going through many life changes including a divorce and realized that I was in the "Full Moon" of my life. Meaning that If I didn't do what I really wanted to with my life at that point I never would.
So I started a website and blog (fullmoonfiberart.com)and began selling my quilts, inspired by the Gee's Bend Quilters of Alabama.
I decided I wanted to make potholders, so the people who couldn't afford my quilts, could have a small piece of my functional art.
I work with old clothes and fabrics that people send me or that I find in thrift stores. I often use a mix of vintage and newer fabrics.
After a few years I quit my part time job to work full time at my business.
My work as evolved as I have. Reflecting what is happening in my life.
I began making my "Intuitive Patchwork Potholders". Every potholder is unique, I don't follow any patterns, but trust my instincts to create each one. When I got my free motion sewing machine I started drawing on my potholders. These too are all individually drawn by me on my sewing machine. Some have saying and some have images.
You can read and see more of my work on my blog fullmoonfiberart.com.
I love the idea of having a potholder shop on ETSY. A place just for my potholders, which have sustained me through the tough times and always give me a place to express myself and make connections with other people.
