Easy to work with for sizing. Extremely well priced. Dress has a boxy style to it but flows well.
I love fabric!
I opened my shop back in 2009. At that time I had been dabbling in making polymer clay jewelry and had made more than one person could own and decided to sell a few pieces. Then 4 years ago, on a whim, I purchased myself a sewing machine - and had never sewn a stitch before. The machine sat in the box for over a year until I worked up the courage to learn how to use it. Now I can't stop sewing. My favorite part of sewing has to be the fabrics. I can easily spend hours in a fabric store, picking out different ways to pair fabrics together. The brighter and funkier the pattern is, the better. I have even started participating in a few local art fairs.
The best part about creating and selling my creations is when my customers let me know how much they love the items they purchased and even end up buying more. It tickles me pink knowing I have spread some happiness to people.
I work out of a small studio in my basement. My sewing machine sits on my great grandmother's dressing table turned sewing desk. At the other end of my studio sits my great grandfather's cast iron drafting table, which is usually covered in fabric, patterns, sketches and a can of diet coke.
I have always been an artist of some sort, probably from the moment I received my first box of crayons. On a whim 4 years ago I bought myself a sewing machine, never having sewn a single thing and the rest is history. Now I can't stop sewing!
